I seem to have the mod working via JSGME, but have a question. It seems for me, the cockpit sounds are louder than the exterior view sounds. The exterior sound actually sounds muffeled, as the interior should. Also, when on the runway preparing for takeoff, I can hear the other AC engines. As I takeoff, I could hear the AC behind me start to rev his engine for takeoff. According to the readme, this is correct, and as you get airborn the sound should fade as in reality. This happens accept the sound ends abruptly instead of fadeing out. Don't know if that's the way it is or not, but it sounds crappy.

Sound Mod Tiger_33

:? Oeps! Once a year, mostly in the first three months I do something very stupid. Buying a new headset with microphone with unmarked earpads made me do this stupid thing. The sound is right and I just had to change the head-set.....Pfff, something to be ashamed off.
Things can happen.... :-?

Nevertheless.... it is very nice to have the new sounds in the game.

Is it normal some of the gunners in a B-17 can not hear their guns firing? The tail gunner, the one in front, and the guy on top only hear the hum of the engines.

!

Sorry Tiger 33 for may little explanation  - when you press the f3 key (flyby by) there is no real miscalculation engine sounds - just taken another sample from the list of sounds for this engine and is reproduced, the point of view is synchronized with the length of the sound file so that the aircraft would be at the center of the screen time playing the middle part of the audio file.

lol. ok Although I'm very handy with computers, I follow a very strict "line by line" format. Is there ANY where in here that explains how to add these sounds to my game? I haven't seen the download even. I probably came in too late. But a detailed post with what to do from point A to B would not only help me but the many others who would love this mod. thanks and S!

Re: Tiger 33's Ultimate Sound Mod V2

Hi to everyone.

First, I need to say that the flyby sounds are just marvelous. Compared to the default ones. The cockpit and external sounds are nice too, I just imagine how many hours it took to make that mod.

The only engine which ever disapointed me was the R2800 (i mean in every sound mod), i find that the volume of it is always too low but that's not really annoying, not.

I just want to ask you if the corsair flyby sounds aren't working by you too, and because I'm using the F4U-1C lot, it just worries me.

EDIT : I have UP 2.01. The button with the sound mod package doesn't work with it, so i replaced with a newer one.

Re: Tiger 33's Ultimate Sound Mod V2

So I tryed to fix it myself but didn't found it where it hangs.

I verified what was written in the presets files and the .preload one. Everything seems to be correct.

I guess the problem can only come from the function calling the flyby sound of it. And if i'm right, it's comming from a class file in the mods folder.
I opened some of them with notepad, XD, it's unreadable, and with jEdit it hangs too. What's the adequate software for opening and editing such files?
I could correct it and post it there.
