oh, my, i absolutely love this pic! the water makes the plane stand out really well!

Having a look at the fuselage just ahead of the 'pit, it shows what happens when you stick too close to a scared bad guy :mrgreen:

I hope you don't mind, did a bit of reworking on it.

Cropped it to get a better composition, edited the water in the back and put it into a new frame, as it was rather simplistic. Enjoy

First of all, Zorin, that's an absolutely TERRIBLE edit. You took a nice image and made it awful :!:

Secondly, M8, we all know what, "I hope you don't mind", means. It means that you're going to do something which is, at minimum, questionable. You KNOW that it's questionalbe but your going to do it anyway and say, "I hope you don't mind."

Third, don't "hope" that somone doesn't mind. Find out if they mind FIRST! Ask permission if you want to do an edit and post it in a guys thread. Elvenking certainly didn't ask you to do an edit nor did he ask you to show him how to "improve" his image.

Saying that something someone has done is "rather simplistic" is insulting and arrogant. Quite frankly, Zorin, you're no artist like Shooter. You're really not good enough to be editing anyone's work.

The ultimate insult is to change the name of the image. That certainly doesn't improve the image at all.

Your intent is quite clear, M8. You want to put down Elvenking. What you did is just plain nasty and mean spirited. I gave you the benefit of the doubt but you have shown yourself undeserving.

This has been a really good forum to post in for everyone from people posting their first screenie to artists like Shooter. If you are going to do this kind of thing you are going to drive away new guys or guys who just want to post some captures. Why? Because they would have reason to believe that you would do the same kind of mean and nasty thing to them and who wants that?

If you want to turn this forum into a nasty place, Zorin, shove off, M8!

Whoa, Fat Boy, calm down I'm not angry for Zorin. He tried to make something intresting, that I would have never thought about But you're right FB - Zorin you could ask me first I like idea with this paper sheet, but it doesn't look good in this format and with this frame

I think Zorins edit is great but little bit too dark on the plane.

It would be nice, Andy, if it were his own image and not Elvenking's image he was editing. :wink:

Got up on the wrong side today Fat Boy?

1. For me it is not an awful edit, otherwise I wouldn't have made it in the first place.
2. Guess that "I hope you don't mind" has quite a different meaning in English than in German. Here it is not a sentence right from hell as you describe it.
3. I sure could have asked, but Elvenking didn't make the impression he would be offended by someone trying to incorporate his work into a new piece.
4. Simplistic...language thing again....
5. Can't remember having claimed to be an artist like Shooter.
6. Sorry, but what? The thread title says: A Corsair. That is like saying An airplane. I simply turned it into a photograph style work and put a fitting caption on it.
7. Sure, I have nothing better to do with my time one day before departing on a two weeks trip to Asia to put down a forum member I don't even know personally. Yeah right, you are so wise...
8. The last to paragraphs are so insulting I won't even comment them.

Finally, I don't hold a grudge against you Fat Boy, but if you want to hate me for trying to show a fellow member the potential I saw in his screeny, well, then be it.

Well, it comes with game as british Corsair Mk.I. You just have to find some american skins.
