I want to share my weapon mod for Ar-234B2. To comply to forum rules, I post this mod as new aircraft, that I ventured to name Ar-234B2N (N for Nachtigal),
altough these weapon sets were used on different models of Ar-234, actually Nachtigal, and other fighter and bomber versions/prototypes.
Ar-234B2/N also has exterior differencies vs. Ar-234B2 model, used in mod (antennas and some other detals) .
This mod not pretended to be historically/technically authentic, it made just to feel, how it would to be.
I wanted to try different weapons loadouts, including X-4 missiles and so-called "Magirus-bombe" - gunpods under fuselage and engines gondolas.
No 3D-modelling was done, all done only by programming, so there can be some visual artefacts.

Weapon loadouts is as follows:

2x Ruhrstahl X-4
Magirus bombe 2xMk151 + 2xX-4
2x Magirus bombe Mk151
2x Magirusbombe Mk151 + SC500
2x Magirusbombe Mk151 + SD500
2x Magirusbombe Mk151 + AB500
SC1000 + type D droptanks

Rearward guns still present as primary weapon, gunpods is secondary(use switch cockpit key to aim). Since they are facing opposite, no sense to fire them simultaneously.
Launch left missile as third weapon, right as fourth. Info on gunpods ammo capacity controversal, so I chose to load it with 1000 rounds each barrel. It must be enough for most of the tasks.

Some pics with new loadouts...

2x Magirus bombe Mk151 (single MG151 gunpods under each engine gondola)

Mod includes AI module, that allows AI to use weapons of new loadouts offensively, and prevents to do some stupid things, like firing rearward fixed guns, while attacking targets.
This module also allows AI-controlled planes launch X-4 missiles vs. fighters, as well vs. bombers.
While this AI module far from perfect (AI can't use rearward guns, for example), it works. I intend to improve it over time.
If you use other AI mods, it may cease to work, so you may choose to delete or rename my AI mod (EEBBE344D2C2A05A - most bigger file in the mod).

To install Ar-234B2N mod unzip zip folder to \MODS folder in your IL-2 directory and add this line:

Ar-234B-2N air.AR_234B2N 2 NOINFO g01 SUMMER

to your air.ini file, located, probably in \MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects folder inside your IL-2 directory
((!) Don't forget to delete this line, if you decide to remove the mod).

Now you can try Ar-234B2 in nightfighter and fighter-bomber role. Have a fun!

Recently updated this mod by adding to weapons list pair of new configurations:

Magirus bombe 2xMk151 + 2xPC1000RS
(two PC-1000RS jet bombs and twin MG151 gunpod under fuselage)
SB1000 + type D droptanks

uncluding PC-1000RS and SB-1000 from FW-190-D11 & D13 mod (The link is inoperative)
[credits to Zorin for these weapons, especially, for PC-1000RS]

In order to have patch working, U mast have FW-190-D11 & D13 mod and, of course, this weapon mod for Ar-234B2 installed.
Otherwise, do not install the patch.

To install patch unrar the file to Ar-234B2N mod directory (overwrite 46F2C096A0E8BEE2 file).

This is rocket boosters, it's not part of this mod, it 's default. I maked another mod, that fixes "no boosters too above sea level" bug, for example, on mountain airfields.
Boosters on pics just have not burned out yet.

Thanks for the tip, XB-49. I am glad, you likes my mod.

Yes. Whether it was a good idea is another matter. Historically the Germans never did that. Perhaps they knew better?
