Hey all I want to know the Poly Count for All Types of Aircraft in IL-2, eg. Fighter, Twin Engine fighter, 4 Engine Bomber etc.

It cant be more then 3000 polys a part and you can have as many parts
As you like, most IL2 fighter planes are 20,000 to 30,000 without the players pit.
Bombers are a little more but not by much like 25,000 to 35,000 without the players pit.

Ok thanks for that, so those number are for all LOD's, Shadows etc?
No its just the outside of the plane.
My P26 is 23,000 plus polys outside plane only.
Then comes players pit, LODs, damage model and shadow.

So the CF_D0 Models add up to over 20000?
Yes, why not?
It doesn't matter that much since these 20.000 polys are only "active" when you're looking from close distance, otherwise the other LODs step in place with significantly less polys depending on the distance.

Ok so if i Was to import a 360000 Poly Junkers Jumo 004 model and use it it would cause no lag? Big Grin
It will cause no lag since IL-2 will simply refuse to load it Tongue

How would a 87,000 poly 88,000 vertice aircraft do? Just wondring

My point is, that IL-2 won't load an 87000 poly object, and don't forget, IL-2 still has to render everthing else. You can get the exact same detail for probably 1-2000 polys.
