Hi guys,

What are the best IL2 maps that have been created to date? I never really ever downloaded anything besides a Korea map from SAS. And my fav map in IL2 is the Slovakia map. I have HSFX installed.

I would like to add some very good quality maps to my collection if those exist? Looking for some stuff with nice airfields. No preference as to the location or the historical time.

Any suggestions please?

I agree with all of these that Jinxx recommends, especially the awesome 352nd map of the English channel region.

Added to this would be desert maps by Redko - they have awesome desert textures.

There are 3 maps in beta in which I have flown. I would recommend them after their official release. If I told you what they were, I would break my promise of secrecy and as a result face immediate death! :lol:

I confess a personal bias having had a hand in the updated version but you might want to give Mixx's North Norway map a look.

The updated version is on page 2 of the thread (MiSp_Zapolar'e) but be sure to read the entire thread as there are special
instructions regarding objects needed.
