Hi. I have just managed to get the dvd of IL2 forgotten Battles and have installed it successfully....the version number is 1.22.......eeeek.....so I know I need to add a lot of patches :-)
However hard I look though, I cannot seem to find a list of or the relevent downloads needed to grt up to date. I think I understand from reading various posts that I need to install each upgrade patch in sequence.....Please, can anybody point me to where I can get these patches? preferably in the correct sequence needed as I am totally new to IL2 and really dont have a clue as yet.
Many thanks in advance. :-?

Hello...
Here are some screens taken from a mission we flew over the Mission_Bug's South_Vietnam_Map (french colonial era)...
8 pilotes were flying this mission (6 SBD and 2 Seafire).
Enjoy !!
June 1949 : the SBD Dauntless of the 4F (4th Navy Squadron) arrives in Indochina.
Escorted by 2 Seafire of the 1F embarked aboard the Arromanche carrier, 6 SBD from the 4F (radio code : "Damoclès") take off from the Arromanche carrier. Their mission is to reach the city of Hué (150 km from the carrier), and then to land at Tourane airfield. Once landed, they will go for another briefing...
Coast !!!
The flight arrives over the outskirts of Hué.
Hué, Imperial city...
The 2 Seafire and 6 SBD arrive over Tourane. They prepare for landing, while the 2 Seafire return toward the carrier...
Time for a briefing at Tourane...Pilots of the 4F will have to reach the military fort at Muong Xépan, near the Laos border, in the mountains. The camp has not given any radio call for 3 days... The situation needs to be clarified : is the camp still in french hands?
The 6 SBD of the 4F take off, once refueled and rearmed. A 250 lb bomb has been loaded, in case or the flight has an opportunity to strike the Vietminh...
After 25 minutes of a stressful flight (visibility is very bad in the mountains due to a really bad weather at that time) the 6 SBD spot the french camp. It still appears to be under controle of french soldiers. A very bad quality radio contact is made with the camp... Their long range radio broke down 3 days ago, and they only have a short range radio equipment working...
The leading officer of the camp announces that a Vietminh position has been spotted 30 km north of Muong Xépan... A strike needs to be planned...
Damoclès leader (commanding officer of the 4F) then orders the SBD to go towards this new target...
After several minutes flying without visibility, the Vietminh position is spotted, due to the AA guns firing at the SBDs...
SBD prepare for the attack...
The ennemy position is annihilated after 2 passes...
But the 4F squadron lost a plane during the attack, due to direct AA guns...
Damoclès 6 saw the crew bailing out, but they were never seen again...
Does anyone know how to turn off the dang fog. I know whats cousing it and I have well usable fps before it rolles in. It's to me like putting a selfdestruct button in your house, ya just don't need it.
Thanks for any help.

RAF Museum,Hendon indicate that the wreck is Do-17-Z2 Ser No 1160 of 7/III/KG3 (5K + AR) lost on 26 August 1940, the height of the Battle of Britain.
The Dornier 17 was part of a large enemy formation intercepted by RAF fighter aircraft at midday on 26 August 1940 as they attempted to attack airfields in Essex. This particular aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on the Goodwin Sands at low tide after an attack by Defiant fighters of No 264 Sqn that left both engines stopped and the crew wounded.
The Dornier, flown by Feldwebel (Flt Sgt) Willi Effmert attempted a wheels-up landing on the Goodwin Sands. He touched down safely and the aircraft sank inverted. Effmert and his observer were captured but the other crewmen died and their bodies were washed ashore later.
Raising the Dornier 17
The aircraft is in remarkable condition - considering the events surrounding its loss plus the effects of spending so many years under water. Other than marine concretion it is largely intact, the main undercarriage tyres remain inflated and the propellers clearly show the damage inflicted during their final landing.
Work to conserve and prepare the Dornier for display will be undertaken at the RAF Museum's award-winning conservation centre at Cosford. Here the Dornier will be placed alongside the Museum's Vickers Wellington which is currently undergoing long term restoration.
Dornier 17 Aircraft restoration
Air Vice-Marshal Peter Dye, Director General of the RAF Museum said that "The discovery of the Dornier is of national and international importance. The aircraft is a unique and unprecedented survivor from The Battle of Britain. It is particularly significant because, as a bomber, it formed the heart of the Luftwaffe assault and the subsequent Blitz." The RAF Museum, with the support of English Heritage and the Ministry of Defence, is now developing a recovery plan to protect the aircraft from any further damage and to provide for its long term preservation. There is concern, however, that material has recently been removed illegally from the wreck site - although a number of items have now been retrieved.

Sack Lunches
I put my carry-on in the
luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned
seat. It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm
glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps I will
get a short nap,' I thought.
Just before take-off,
a line of soldiers came down the aisle and
filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding
me. I decided to start a conversation.
'Where are you
headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to me.
'Petawawa. We'll be there for two
weeks for special training, and then we're being
deployed to Afghanistan
After
flying for about an hour, an announcement was
made that sack lunches were available for five
dollars. It would be several hours before we
reached the east, and I quickly decided a lunch
would help pass the time...
As I reached for my
wallet, I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if
he planned to buy lunch. 'No, that seems
like a lot of money for just a sack lunch.
Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks.
I'll wait till we get to base.'
His friend agreed.
I looked around at the
other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked
to the back of the plane and handed the flight
attendant a fifty dollar bill. 'Take a
lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my
arms and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with
tears, she thanked me. 'My son was a soldier in
Iraq ; it's almost like you are doing it for him.'
Picking up ten
sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the
soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seat and
asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or chicken?'
'Chicken,' I replied,
wondering why she asked. She turned and went to
the front of plane, returning a minute later
with a dinner plate from first class.
'This is your thanks.'
After we finished
eating, I went again to the back of the plane,
heading for the rest room.
A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to
be part of it. Here, take this.' He handed me
twenty-five dollars.
Soon after I returned
to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down
the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he
walked, I hoped he was not looking for me, but
noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my
side of the plane. When he got to my row he
stopped, smiled, held out his hand and said, 'I
want to shake your hand' Quickly unfastening my
seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand.
With a booming voice he said, 'I was a soldier
and I was a military pilot. Once, someone bought
me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never
forgot.' I was embarrassed when applause was
heard from all of the passengers.
Later I walked to the
front of the plane so I could stretch my legs. A
man who was seated about six rows in front of me
reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He
left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.
When we landed I
gathered my belongings and started to deplane.
Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man
who stopped me, put something in my shirt
pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a
word. Another twenty-five dollars!
Upon entering the
terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their
trip to the base. I walked over to
them and handed them seventy-five dollars.
'It will take you some time to reach the base.
It will be about time for a sandwich.
God Bless You.'
Ten young
men left that flight feeling the love and
respect of their fellow travelers.
As I walked briskly to
my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe
return. These soldiers were giving their all for
our country. I could only give them a couple of
meals. It seemed so little...
A veteran is someone
who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank
check made payable to 'The United States of
America ' for an amount of 'up to and
including my life.'
That is Honor, and
there are way too many people in this country
who no longer understand it.'
Just decided to Cartoon and crop my screenshots, some of these are not as good as others because as I went along I started caring more about the detail
