Can we control the draw distance on the clouds? With the longer view distance in 4.09, it's terrible to see the clouds draw and undraw around you.
Is it posible to create a MOD where "The DOT" is removed and replaced with the last LOD that game uses before switching to that 2D little texture?
At this point when using high resolutions and antialiasing, anisotropic filtering the dots gets filtered out most of the time or they are simple invisible cause of their constant 4 pixel (2x2) size that is extremly small for big screens.
The size of the dot has another awful effect when the distance between you and the plane you are whatching varies up and down... you can see then the change between dot and 3D LOD very unnatural.
So... anyone has any ideea avout this?

I noticed that with this mode when moving in the z-axis, the game will first take you to the front of the cockpit and then start zooming, and vice versa. I would much rather have an option to choose wether I want the z-axis to zoom or to move.
This is because when, for example, I'm looking at 90deg and want to zoom-in, the game will first move me sideways to the front of the cockpit. I find that very annoying.
Otherwise, very nice work.
Just an idea I had today - I don't know if anyone else has suggested this. My idea is to take a vehicle object like a truck, give it a static aircraft body, and have it taxi around an airfield (following waypoints), just like a regular vehicle object would. I don't know whether it would be possible to give it an engine sound and have the propellers operate. Failing that, make something similar using a "convoy" object consisting of a static aircraft and a tractor. that way the aircraft object could be "towed" and it wouldn't need rotating propellers or engine sounds. You could even get some of the new soldier objects to sit on the wing, stand next to the cockpit, or sit on the tailplane.
Another idea would be to use the new bomb static objects and marry them to a train object somehow, so that a tractor could tow a "train" of bombs around an airfield.

- this version of the map comes with three different building densities in towns.
Normal version (mrz_Malta) is as before Medium and High density versions
(mrz_Malta_medium and mrz_Malta_high) have been done by Letchick. You will find

I'm stuck on several things because I cannot find the files...I tried extracting all the sfs files...but still not there...??
I need tga for the observation balloon to reskin it...and mat files to enlarge it
I need tga for the destroyed barrel blocks (oil drums) ....effects...something...the black splat
files for the houses of 46 objects...which include the gun pits/trenches
