[T&T] Bomb Trick (SUPRISE!) - F22-Raptor-2006 - 06.02.2007
In order to do the Bomb Trick you need to have a delay on your bombs for example 2 secs (this also depends on the size of your bomb if it is a big one like a 5000lb bomb from a Pe8 then u would want more otherwise you will blow yourself up as well).
Try and fly about 10 metres above the ground, if an enemy attacks you stay there wait for them to come closer to you. In this example there is a 2 sec delay on the bombs. When they get to 0.4 behind you drop the bombs and they will blow up (you will need to have some speed to do this if you are too slow it won't work as good as it will if you are fast).
The bomb delays are pretty much like this:
2 secs=0.4 behind
3 secs=0.6 behind
The longer the bomb delay is the more inaccurate it becomes so it's best to stick to the ones above.

Cool Raptor. I suppose the timing is heavily dependent on you and your pursuers speed i prefer the bomb trick on water. i drop at around 0.38-0.48 distance from enemy with no delay, the bomb skips and boom.

NICE RAPTOR about time someone did this one ! thx a lot

Have done this many times. I want to know how you fly at 10 meters, and are looking backwards without crashing! Lol! I dont think i could do it that low.

Actually most of the bombers have level stabilizer, so it's not hard to do it

you need to practice using reverse view and fly opposite controls, very tricky i am no master but helps in all situations

i found out this trick when i was trying to bomb ships but the bomb skipped right over the boat :o :?
- F22-Raptor-2006 - 17.04.2007
lol well another way is to skip bomb into the ship and not over it it works quite well just under 50m drop it at good speed and it should get there. Good Luck!

Bomb Surprise - RCAF_FB_Wurzel - 14.10.2007
I do this since I fly online, I shot down with this tactic more than 50 enemies, especially if I fly a DO335 I always have my 1000 kg egg with me.
My settings are 2 sec. delay and dropping is if the enemy is 0.50 behind me.
To see when the right time is to drop I change into outside view turn around to watch the guy behind and fly about 20 to 50 m above ground.
With best regards

RCAF_FB_Wurzel hiya & ty for the added info - i usually have my delay on 3 secs & drop when they are between .65 .70 but i think i may switch to using 2 sec delay instead like you

Back seat drivers can simply turn their joystick around. ( though I tend not to do this).
Parafrags can be quite distracting for an enemy fighter, also ABs' on a short delay. Best to release either of these as you start a loop over.

I've done this many times when flying the SBD. One time I knocked down 2 zeks that were pursueing me with a 500 pounder.
Smart fighter jocks won't attack a bomber from 6 oclock though, so it isn't always a usuable tactic.
- Trooper117 - 03.02.2008
it'll only work once.. Once your bombs are gone you are stuck at zero altitude with no room to manouvre.. I'd rather stay high, get rid of the bombs so as to further increase speed, and rely on my gunnery skills to fend off a pursuing fighter..

Actually back in the ubi server, there was a server run by LTF, and he had that Pe-8 in there. with a 6 second delay i was able to blow up all oncoming and trailing aircraft just by my intuition. However, some people did not understand the whole bomb delay, and were calling me a cheater. It ended up to be that i was shot at and rammed while i was still on the ground, even by my own teammates. It was funny to me that i got everyone so frustrated that they would intentionally brake the universal no vulching and no shooting friendlies rules.
