Hey guys can someone make this mod? it will be cool to be able when shot down to run to the nearest base and take new plane from those on the airfield

You could wait for BOB, the vehicles in that are all meant to be playable if some ones mods it, so Oleg said some where and I think theres a video some where of one of the devs driving a half track in 3rd person.

You could get everyone on one team to stand in front of everyone on the enemy team as they spawn, preventing them from taking off!
I wonder if its possible to hijack other aircraft....

I for one would like this just to run around, watch battles, get up close to objects, avoid an AAA gun. Its just too final- run and lie down. It could only add another dimension.

agreed. i don't see anything wrong with it either. different strokes for different folks. as stated, if it allowed you to snitch another plane, it'd be cool.

Mmm.. Get shot down, run to enemy airfield, casualy jump into enemy plane, start up, take off and rejoin your arcade game.... Not for me thanks!

i was thinking more along the slightly more realistic lines of getting shot down over YOUR own or a FRIENDLY airfield (as historically happened in several real battles...BOB, China, Philippines, Russia, later in Germany, etc,) and where you could immediately leap into the cockpit of a fresh plane and rejoin the battle.
also could be fun if made where pilots were started on the ground and out of their planes (as also happened realistically...don't think pilots stayed in planes 24/7 did they?
hock: ) and had to rush out to and mount their planes for takeoff...either for a mission or for interception of immediate airfield attack.of course stealing an enemy plane might be fun too though, now that you mention it... :lol:
for myself, i try to keep an open mind about new things and see the other's viewpoint rather than abruptly dismiss it out of hand. again, different strokes for different folks, and all that.

Of course.. Absolutely right.. But when I want to run around on the ground, then I'll be playing a game that lends itself to that genre.. I have this game because I want to fly the bleedin planes.. :mrgreen:
