Remove the bombrack for the Fw190s? - Anders_And - 30.03.2008

IS there any mode out there that does this? I have the flat canopy for it that IMO makes it look more realistic, now I would like to remove the bombrack for the A8 and the A9 models.
Anyone?
Cheers

Bombrack was by A-8 and A-9 standardized. There was no late Fw 190 A without racks, just some 190 D. So -> Fw 190 A-8 and A-9 without racks are unreal.

Sure, but there were smaller racks introduced sometime in 1944 that had much less drag and impact on performance. I don't know if the racks from the 109 G's could be borrowed, but such a version would definitely have some relevance as a mod for offline and limited online play.

Even if that were possible, you know it will have no effect whatsoever on the aircrafts fm mate..

I mean, bombrack for 190D9 is better option, then remove it from A8 and A9

If someone makes a new one it will. Of course i know that purely cosmetical modifications are not going to affect in any way how the airplane flies. The external model could look like a brick and still have the FM of the 190.
[EDIT: Oh the irony, i didn't even think about that example properly. Right now it has the FM of a brick with wings. So not too far from game reality there. ]
I don't know if you missed that i implied a new slot, and i don't know if you imply with your post that no new slot for this should be made. Could you clear me up on that?

Eh..? I may now be lost in Klemms post while my tiny mind tries to work out what he just said!...

- Klemm - 30.03.2008

Sorry for complicating things. I try to clarify the issue: By suggesting a new, smaller rack I was referring to an entirely new slot. That is, a version of the 190 with a completely new aircraft slot in the list with a remodelled FM. I was not referring to the current FM.

- Fucida - 30.03.2008

Klemm, do you have some image with Fw 190 A equipped by smaller rack? I know about many photos of Fw 190 D, but not A/F/G.

- Anders_And - 30.03.2008

I dont want any changes in FM! My question is ONLY for cosmetical reasons!! I have seen many pictures of Fw190A models, even late ones without bombracks, IE fw190A8 fighter version. They were not that rare on the western front!
