Update april 20th
concrete airfield textures download:

Hello Peeps!
I started to re-paint some textures in Il2 (after being inspired by Handy's new Crimea textures)
I first started off with a new concrete airfield, and after that I started to work on a mountian texture, still some colour issues, but at least I'm up and running
My intention is to make some textures for people to use when they make new maps, but maybe I'm not aware about stuff, it is possible right? If someone's using them for an online map, will the textures be "downloaded" somehow or will other people's Il2 look totally different? I'm not a map maker, but I like to do textures,
I also made new markings, these replace the old "two toned fugly screaming eye burning" ones, I have made Ru, USA, Germany, Brit, Jap markings so far.
here's some shots of it all, incl a retouched image.
here's the markings:

thanks for the replies yo!
Tigershark:
the airstrip is just a texture placed in " MODS\New textures\3do\airfield\Concrete"
and so on.
The landscape you see, is Handy's new crimea map, with grass textures, the texture I made in that screenshot is the mountain one (mountain with grass on it)
I must say i really do like Handy's textures, really cool!

Pure Genius.
Keep this up FlushMeister and I'm going to have to get a better graphics card.

Particularly the first (mountain) rocky one is beautiful!
It remembers me of some climbings...very very realistic :!: :!: :!:

Excellent
But, don't forget that many of the textures have also bump textures with them (BumpH) and they also works, showing certain depth of relief or shadows.
It is easiest to see that effect on Besarabia map: set weather to "Clear" and time to 8 AM, then look bumpiness and shadows of the hedgerows for example, then set time on late afternoon, maybe 5 PM and watch bumpiness and shadows, they changed.
That is very cool effect that not much people are aware of, and I don’t know if this works on settings below "Perfect". Textures without that may look flat and cartoonish.

Now who want BoB?

As I've said before, you are a true atrist -- hope you get the bump map thing working as Avala, another of the true artists, suggests,

Great Flushmeister!
Now a IL-2 Reloaded (like the Lock On Reloaded) is starting to take shape
.
btw... I use for markings MatManager and is very very good at it. The only minor things it has it's with numbers... they are "Eye Burning White" on some occasions (like the Romanian Numbers
).

great work Capt.FG!

MatManager is good. But it's a pity that it doesn't support marking reflection effect like NewMat mod does and NewMat mod only supports default markings.

too much sharpness filter in the concrete pics? either way, they look fabulous!

Mat manager has had integrated shiny markings for ages.
