HotKeys mod - updated and merged with BombBayDoors (12/7/08) - Fireball - 15.05.2008

I've updated the Hotkeys mod and merged it with the BombBayDoors mod, which I've also updated. The new merged mod is called BombBayDoors_Plus.

The latest version is available here:

viewtopic.php?t=10234

Here is a summary of available features in BombBayDoors_Plus. You can pick and choose which options you want::

- Manually open/close bomb bay doors.
- Display TAS in addition to IAS in the speedbar. (also requires the HUDConfig mod)
- Separate gear up/down controls.
- Separate tailhook up/down controls.
- **NEW** Separate radiator open/close controls
- The server can set various limited external view options while 'No External Views' is turned on.
-- External view only of player's own aircraft.
-- External views only while player is on the ground.
-- External views only when player is dead.
-- **NEW** External views of friendlies only.
- **NEW** Toggle music on/off while flying.
- **NEW** Modified airshow smoke (red, white, or blue...from the tail of the aircraft).

Thank you for this mod!!

Is there any possibility to enable external views only for Dead pilots & Pilots alive on ground at time?

On this way, as server, I could set up external views only for pilots shot down, killed or landed (with ot without plane -aka paratroopers-)

Thanks in advance.

- Fireball - 16.05.2008

If you use both parameters in the mission file, you should get what your asking:

ExternalViewsOnGround 1
ExternalViewsWhenDead 1

This way they will have external views when they are alive on the ground AND when they are dead.

If that doesn't work, let me know.

Thanks heaps for this mod, it is quite inspired in its concept (and execution)!

One question: If the server has configured limited external views (eg ExternalViewsOnGround 1), do client pilots have to have the mod installed as well to access them, or can they use the limited externals without the mod?

- Fireball - 27.06.2008

If the server allows limited external views, but a client does not have the mod, then that client will not have any external views.

- Bearcat - 14.07.2008

This mod lets the user or server modify the way several controls work. You can pick and choose which of the options you use. Here's a summary:

- Display TAS in addition to IAS in the speedbar. (also requires the HUDConfig mod).
- Separate gear up/down controls.
- Separate tailhook up/down controls.
- The server can set various limited external view options while 'No External Views' is turned on.
-- External view only of player's own aircraft.
-- External views only while player is on the ground.
-- External views only when player is dead.

Wow!!! I only got it because it was needed for the hud mod.. I had no idea it did this!!!

Do you think there is a chance we could see seperate throttle controls for multi engine planes? Just a thought.

maybe this could be used to set different keys for the radiator settings?
