AAA Community Installer - ver 1.0 - out today - Guest - 31.08.2008

Hello folks !
The new community pack is out later today - its great for new comers & experts alike.
Its basicaly a heap of finished mods rolled into a one shot install - it includes 4.09 & also the D2D patch. Many compatibility issues have been solved & many of the mods & sounds tweaked + reworked. Its been a good old heap of work for myself Monguse & Coster putting it together. We hope you enjoy it ! & a big thankyou to all modders involved

@Kristorf, yes you will have to back up your current mods. Think of this as an official mod release.

@Hans von Ohain, the Weapon hit effects mod is included

@LBR=Rademacher, the mods included are meant to enforce compatibility and everyone have the same mods. So in short, no you can not choose what mods to include as many rely on others to work properly.


Remember, everyone and his brother has been shouting we all need to be on the same sheet of music. This mod install will ensure that many of us will be compatible with everyone else. Besides, this should help alleviate issues with online wars and dedicated coops enforcing crt=2 otherwise called, run time check.

I think it will be great for everyone to have a unified install, and it looks like it will certainly be more user friendly. And think of the bandwidth the site will save simply by fewer people like me asking dumb questions :lol:

I only have one install of Il-2; I don't play online, and I don't have much memory on my laptop :evil:
I don't want to install Il-2 again so can I download this over my current mods?
