More realalistic roads update - kevinp - 05.06.2009
My road plates are almost finished now but they need testing first. I've asked a couple of people
to do the testing for me & am waiting for their reply. Meanwhile here are some screen shots.

I especially like the side-by-side RR tracks. This is impossible to do with the "old" way. Are these plates the same length as the current RR track objects? (not the long tracks you lay down in unlocked-FMB).

I was wondering the same thing.. or will all the maps have to be redone.. it looks fantastic though.. one of the few immersion dampeners in the sim was the roads..

They look really fantastic, but unfortunately they'll always need to be manually placed, since they're a object. Someone would have to update a map manually for them to be included. However, I'm sure we'll see them being used in small amounts on new maps.
