Flying Tigers Battle for Rangoon campaign - BurmaLower map -
CzechTexan - 06.06.2009
24-mission campaign of the Flying Tigers and the Battle for Rangoon is here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/t2qdnutpu ... angoon.zip
You can put this folder in this order: /missions/campaign/US/...
Same 24 missions in single-player format are here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/5nn2mtidn ... rBurma.zip
You can put this folder in this order: /missions/single/US/...
You must have BurmaLower map (V1.4 or V1.3+PATCH). You can find the download in the WIP Maps Discussion forum.
I only used the default skins so you might want to change to your custom skins. You will fly in all three squadrons but the default skin only has the "Hell's Angels" skin. Missions were designed so that you would choose the highest rank to be the squadron leader and give orders to the squadron. But you can also use the lower ranks.

For those of you who do not have the UI and you manually install MODS, this might help...
You may have some missing objects from LAL Rone's Hangar MODS and some of Fabianfred's new objects. See this link...
(The link is inoperative)
BurmaLower map uses some of these objects which are also used on Fabianfred's Thailand map because Fabianfred started making BurmaLower and it has these objects.
I think this might be the major problem for people who do not have the Unified Installer (UI 1.1.1) including its Patch.
I think if you can download this Patch, you can manually install these object files. Hope this helps.

Hi Czech Texan,
Thankyou for this great map .I have a wee problem with some of the missions not loading past 23% , then a message: mission loading failed:null. This is in the single player Campaign. The missions that work are numbers 4,8,9,17,18,19,22 and 24.I made sure I installed everthing properly that came in the map download ver 1.3 then patched it. I am using UI 1.1 .

I'm used to installing maps manualy and editing the allini etc.. followed the advice given in the readme, but just can't get this to run.. still getting a landscape loading error when trying to access the first mission..
I have downloaded your map version 1.4 from the link provided.. If there is anything else I need to do to get this campaign to run it has escaped me.
edit.. sorted it.

Dinga, it's possible you may not have some objects I used in the mission building. Do you have the "flags" MOD with British and Japanese flags? it could be something else. Trying to think what it could be... it's strange that some missions load and others do not.
Are you familiar with using the Full Mission Builder, making missions and saving them? IF so, are you able to "save" any missions that you make on the map? If not, then you are missing some objects that is needed for the map. Do you have the Patch for the UI 1.1.1?..... That's probably not the problem but just checking. I'm not at home right now to look at it but when I get a chance I'll look to see which MODS objects I added in those missions you can't get to work. We'll get this figured out, be patient.
Trooper117, I guess you got it to work OK.
Everyone be sure to install Fabianfred's new village texture that can be found in the Map's Discussion thread. \
AND install Delvpier's Bridges MOD.
Forgot to give credit to Daniel Ford and his book "FLYING TIGERS" because just about everything I know about this subject comes from that book. My missions aren't exactly accurate (how can we really make them to be totally accurate?) but they are based on the information in the book. Kinda like making a movie, I suppose.

I didn't have the Bridges or FF's texture.. just follow the instructions in the readme supplied mate.
CT has left a link above on where to access them.

Thanks for the replies. Sometimes I wish I could get blind drunk with some of you guys. However, I downloaded the necessary files and seem to have installed OK the map and bridges.
But its the Village texture that beats me. When I open it it has land/summer/ then the file but no instructions of where it all goes in MODS or STD etc or somewhere else, that's my problem. I'm not very clever with these things (fly well though [I think] ) so if you could give me the path of where and how the village texture file goes would be much abligeeed! In mods, files or where?
Looking forward to the campaign looks great.

Off the top of my head, I think it's...
MODS/MAPMODS/MAPS/TEX/LAND/SUMMER/...texturename

I know "thank you" is very under rated these days but thanks for all the help CT and your campagn. Very tough (for me) very hard, but worthwhile. Thanks for all the effort. Look forward to future to your future campaigns. Really well done. DW
