Junkers Ju52 Overhaul - Zorin - 13.07.2009
This is a bit of a left-over from general testing. If there is interested I can tidy it all up and release it.
The second picture shows the old and new cowling in comparison, as well as the new tires.

Yes please!
This to me is the essence of modding, improving what we already have 8)

Looks good Zorin! Now all we need is a proper pit to go with it.

Yes, yes, yes!!! Nice to have one of the most known planes (I can only say for Germany, but I think nearly everyone has heard about the "Tante Ju" once in his life...
) updated. Looks really nice and I think it will make the good old "Tante Ju" much more enjoyable.

Nice work, Zorin !
i saw once the wip-thread, where you was working on Bf-109G nose shape and bugles, is this work still in progress ?

Nice to have this one improved: it's a real work-horse, seen in almost all German campaigns. Good initiative!

Zorin! That's awesome dude! We should be doing this on more models. I feel most models from the dawn of IL-2 deserve a overhaul. Computers have gotten much faster since then, and it has been proven that the IL-2 game engine can handle more complex models.

That would be wonderful. The Ju-52 is really one of those planes that are often neglected because they don't have all the heavy armament and power of other planes, but even so tey are essential in recreating missions. Transport may not be glamorous, but transports like these are the extra bit of realism that makes flying missions so enjoyable.
Now after this overaul, all we still need for the Ju-52 is to see a version allowing it to take up its historical role as an early bomber ...

Zorin, possible to get a civilian version with wheel spats and without gunner?

Very nice! I'll have to search for some references, as I suspect the outer nacelles should taper towards the back. Some post-war variants had tubular cowlings though.
Oops, here we go:
