[Download] BF-109 G2 : Rainbow - Aza-Industries - 29.01.2010

I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to post a skin I made I couldn't find any guidelines so here is a preview image and the download link!
This is about as finished as I'm going to make it because I just wanna fly planes right now =P. Hope you like it!

Some parts may appear really bright when the sun is on them and I couldn't fix this without loosing the vibrant colours =/

NOTE: The download link is just the skin image. So you will just have to 'save as'.

Hahaha thanks I was trying to go for a full on rainbow but discovered how hard it is to make it look good once you convert it to 255 colour mode!

I might get into skinning and do it some more maybe I will get better at it. It's hard knowing where everything connects on a 3D model when your working with the 2D skin Confusedhock:

I think he meant your avatar vomiting beams of light Wink - ideas streaming from your brain like rats from a sinking ship...
I like your skin, it's really funny and certainly an eye-catcher online Wink and besides, it looks good with the little weathering. Perhaps make the void shine through a little bit less. And if you use the default void template, you might consider creating another layer with oil blotches, smoke stains etc to make the plane look a little bit more used. Look at other strongly weathered skins on mission4today to see what I mean. But you seem to have it going well Wink

Please make a skin for the He III B2 "Lerche"! There seem to be too few people who like it and it clearly lacks some strange skins Wink

Yeh I guess he could have meant it to be a compliment but you never know.
I actually used another default skin as a template because the void template because I couldn't see any wing/part outline on the void template so I didn't know where one part stopped or started =P.
I'll probably follow your advice and add some wear and tear here and there but I probably won't post it up here unless someone wants me to.

I can do the He III B2 "Lerche" but probably not right now maybe in a few days.

i had a smiley Smile which generally implies it was a joke.

geeze if your going to do skins, you need to develop a thicker one.

Cool skin!

About Gimp, try to posterize the image to 256 colors and then change it to indexed mode, not 255 but 256 colors.

Also for anyone interested I fixed those white area on the wings top and underside so now it just has colour instead of glaring white.

Awesome! Really well done. Accurate pattern transition from fuselage to wings isn't the easiest thing in skinning.

Mines not that good but if I edited this right now I'm 99% sure I could make it match pretty damn well.
Only problem that could possibly happen is not realising they mad a separate strip on the template that goes in between the fuselage and wing instead of a straight transition from one to the other =/.
