MODS System Choice - asheshouse - 29.01.2010
Thought it might be interesting to see the results this produces
I will add more options if necessary (not sure thats possible though?)
I'm using HSFX 4.1
- Fusek - 29.01.2010
I use UP 2.0, and use the switcher to go HSFX 4.1 or stock 4.09 when I need too.
- Eexhaton - 29.01.2010
UI 1.1.1
Because I cannot find a list of comparison between both HSFX and UP which makes it hard to choose.
So, i'll stick to good old 1.1.1 until I can make a choice.

I'm using UP 2.0 Very Stable, easy to add mods to.
- Dietz - 29.01.2010
I use 4.1 because I was strongly recommended to use this shortcut to full mods install by one of its contributers. Before 2.0 & 4.1I had uploaded almost all the mod planes & maps piecemeal ,but had so many errors in the way I installed things that eventually I could not get improved 109's to work & finally had a total lock-up in the game.4.1 is not perfect, but it is a compromise that works well as I'm sure 2.0 is ( I've tried it too.)It has several glitches that are being worked on,but it works well & best of all if I screw some install up ,it easily reinstalls over 4.09 & I get all the essentials back immediately to which I can carefully add the mods back .

i started with hsfx - switched to UP2.0 and apart from one minor hiccup am happy with it, it gives me the flexibilty I want for online play 8)

Hi All,
I still use, believe it or not, the U.I. 1.0, plus SAS-buttons, over IL-2 1946 4.09bm. I'm waiting for a computer upgrade. Who knows, maybe by the time it arrives, patch 4.10 or higher will be out.

For offline I have my trusty UI compatible version that I can swap and change elements at will and at ease because I have full control over all the content.
For online I use UP ver2 as I can swap to HSFX depending on what server I'm on.
If I had to choose though and I was only given one option it would have to be the UI version.. I don't care about loading times and I want to have full control over my game.

Ditto, except I have no sfs file install. With 4.10 around the corner, I'm just gonna wait and see what's instore with future mod packs.
MODS - jantot - 29.01.2010
My main installation is HSFX 4.1.
But for the moment i still have my old 4.09bm installation because some planes in 4.09bm are missing with current HSFX 4.1 (Me-323, Pe-8) and i could not yet reinstall these planes with available MODS for HSFX (maybe somebody could give me an idea ?)
i have dld UP2, but not yet installed it (maybe i will get back these missing planes with UP2 ?)

4.08 CUSTOM MODDED FTW!
- chickenchoker - 29.01.2010
I haven't spent a lot of time on it, but installed UP 2 not long ago. I added a few mods that I was using before with UI. [I didn't think to save my custom default skins so had to redo those!]
Seemed the way to go. Was a little worried my Slot template would have problems, but it works fine.
- GeneralPsycho - 29.01.2010
I use UP2.0 or Fusionpack, depending on the server.
