Problem Still not solved - rzwan2007 - 01.04.2010
I have said that i cant access the UNDER BELLY Gunners (b-29),and Ventral Gunner in (avenger).and i have asked from others that can they access those positions.and some said they CAN with up 2.0

so i installed up 2.0 (and all updates)
BUT I STILL CANT ACCESS THOSE POSITIONS. but dunkelgrun in the above post said ("Not a problem. IIRC those gun positions were left out from HSFX because they were very poor quality. ")
THEN HOW DID SOME PEOPLE SAID THEY CAN ACCESS AND FIRE THOSE POSITIONS ???!!!
or is this a problem with my computer i have Both HSFX 4.11 and UP 2.0 and cant fire those positions.
and sorry for any grammer and spelling mistakes and my way of asking questions

Everything looks like it's in the proper place. Only thing I can think of is that you got a corrupt d/l of UP.
You may want to try HSFX, but I have no problems with either when flying the bombers.
Are you getting any kind of error when going to the gunners positions, or are you just unable to operate them when you get into that position?

Probally has something to do with limitations of the sim
In that I belive the guns bot were controled via the two side blister windows on the sides of the plane, there was no belly gunner ball turret that a guy sat in like the B17

YOU CANNOT ACCESS THOSE POSITIONS IN HSFX. End of story. I gave you the reason why. If other mod packs have them working then try those.

No no sorry What i wanted to know was a guys in the earlier posts said they CAN access those postions.one guy had hsfx 4.11 and one had up2.0.what i need to know is then HOW IS IT POSSIBLE. how did they done it if u cant access it in hsfx at all. (i have installed up 2.0 and it dont work in that either )

I am a very pragmatic man. I see this game as a never ending WIP. So there are a lot of things which we have and many other things we don't have (at least not yet). Well, let's enjoy the lot of things we already have and expect patiently for the other things since they do not depend on our own work but on the work of other people more skilled than us.
I think we should always try to adapt ourselves to the circunstances when there is nothing more to be done.
In this sense, when you are flying alone in a bomber with no defensive ventral guns available and you are beeing attacked by enemy fighters, step down to a very low altitude to deny them approaching you from below and try to defend yourself with the DORSAL gunners!
Assume the ventral gun of your plane is jammed, ground crew forgot to fed it with ammunition, the gunner became paralized because the fear, fainted, bailed out without permission or something like that. This kind of things usually happened in real wartime missions. Try to use your imagination, ...or choose another plane. Come on, it's a game!

that was more about no control once you got in gunner's positions and the fix was in conf.ini change ViewSet to 36. I have UP installed and have no probs firing from any of the gunner's positions. rzwan2007, this may sound like a silly question, but you do have a key bound to change positions in aircraft?
