The Gekko was work in progress as a frankenplane at some point, right?

+1 for kingfisher.
- camcam146 - 10.05.2010
I think some of those are done already. The Mavis at least.
- camcam146 - 10.05.2010
Yes the devastator. I had always wondered what the american torpedo squadrons that got virtually wiped out at Midway were flying.
I always just assumed they were Avengers or Dauntlesses doubling as torpedo planes.

Hello,
All of these aircraft would be great and sorely needed additions to IL-2! I would support any sincere effort at making them.
Camcam, are you sure that some of these have actually been released already? If so, could you please let me know where to find them?
Thanks,
RB
- camcam146 - 10.05.2010
No I was mistaken they haven't been released. If they aren't here than they wouldn't be anywhere else.

Love to see the B-36 for a US vs USSR 1946 campaign.
Anyone know of one these in progress or care to comment?
Post Spit Mk XVIII F.22/24 Seafire 45,46,47
(The link is inoperative)
Also how long do ya think it would take someone to do a SeaFury skin for a Tempest II !
So many aircraft still! - baronbutcher - 10.05.2010
Pizzutojohn - totally agree these aircraft
much needed for the pacific theatre and China Burma theatre.
Others you can add to the list are:
Ki-45 TORYU 'Nick' - beautiful JAAF twin,
Ki-44 Shoki 'Tojo' (being made), Ki-48 'Lily"
Ki-49 Donyru 'Helen',
Ki-67 Hiryu 'Peggy' - bombers,
Beaufort (service with RAF and RAAF), Boomerang, F1M 'Pete' floatplane, P-61 Black Widow and
B-26 Marauder (also used much in Europe). That would
almost complete the PTO.
There's a lot of aircraft and variety still for WW2. Perhaps soon we will see some of them. Cheers

How about some 1930's Aircraft?
Hawker Fury I, II
Hawker Hart, Hind, Demon etc
Beach 17 staggerwing
B26, very important - Whizz - 11.05.2010
B26 is incredibly important. I would love to see this aircraft along with any Dornier flying pencil it would practically complete the list of the really important missing aircraft, at least in Europe.
Personally I would dearly like to see some British jets, especially the Meteor and the Hunter. Hunter would make a nice foil for the Sabre in Indo-Pakistan scenarios. Meteor Mk3 for chasing V1s and Mk8 for ground pounding in Korea with the Australians.
