this is my first skin i just got done, i know it's not great, and the color didnt seem like it was when in GIMP and i have NO experience on how to use GIMP like a pro, as you can see it has a pocketwatch with bat wings near the front that i made up

I'd suggest one base colour and some simple lines or something for the next one.

well i was shooting for a different color of green but it turned out to be different in game, i was trying to make a faded sort of skin

why yes i did, it was very helpful, especially when it came to time of how long a skin is made because all the lines of where the flaps and bolts would be is not painted over

Once you have chosen the plane you want to skin, I suggest you to look for a .psd template for it. This way you can concentrate on the paintscheme without worrying about panel lines and weathering, as someone else has already did the job for you :wink:

I've made new skin! i know it's just my second, but I still feel lit's not good enough. i've done dodge and burn for cool looks but was not exposed enough though and is in wrong places.
when i converted from RGB to Indexed it made the panels disappear, what did i do wrong?
