Hi Freddy. I hope this issue gets sorted for you. Your work is outstanding. I also prefer the cockpits without the panzer weathering.

- fly_zo - 27.03.2008

guys .... until this is resolved please no more links to SG1 site .

Original author clearly doesn't approve redoing and redistributing of his work !

please respect that!

@Freddy : i do hope you'll upload your work here at AAA once it's finished .... cos it is amazing Big Grin

regards,
Z

1_ There is no problem if someone wants to modding my cockpit , the problem is when the modder don t say that he s not the creator of this cockpit ...
I ve never seen my name on this rework , and all the people here can think that it s the creation of SG1 adfn ... It s not true !
When you do something , you have to remember when you are not the creator , and remember too that the difficulty is not to repaint something in a cockpit , the difficulty is to create it !
I m the creator of this cockpit , and it is not totally finished , you can t upload my work without to ask me before , you have uploaded a bad version with bugs !!! lol
When I ll think it s ok , I ll upload it here , it s a piece of a pack with all the 109 inside , the pack is not ready ...
2_ You , Gunkan , have wrote somewhere that SG1 adfn is " the only artist " ! The only artist ???? If he s the only artist , why he don t create his own cockpit ? And what can he do without my work ??? ... You think that his rework " is a great improvement " .... lol ... Perhaps you think I have to say thank you ??? lol .... You are a funny guy !
Last thing , but it s not very important , in my opinion a real cockpit can t have this " old look " and for me , it s not realistic .... Look at the pics of the real cockpit ...

This is an old screenshot in the SG1.es home page:

I can clearly see your name.

Afdn is an artist, no doub. And who say you are not? Not me, i don't even know your cockpit to talk about.

Freddy - YOUR cockpit Confusedhock: ????? I thought, that he made the WHOLE game Oleg Maddox and his team  .

- Seimiev - 27.03.2008

Kelso,

Freddy actually made from scratch many new textures for the 109 (Check the Revi edges, the new floor, different compass, gauges edging, night lighting) and repainted almost all textures including the pit frame, seat, headrest...
Just take a look at all the new .msh and .mat files along with the graphic files compared to the originals in the .sfs.

Obviously, Freddy's work is very different from Oleg's original cockpit and, imo, can be considered as an outstanding improvement regarding genuine historical realism.
Achieving such results means probably a lot of work, time, and historical research as well as programming knowledge above average not to mention a real personnal commitment.

Let's not forget either that this guy, like all other modders here, is working for the benefit of the community and that everything is cost-free. Such generosity in RL is unfrequent nowadays, and for that reason only they all deserve great respect and acknowledgement.

I don't know who the 109 pit belongs to, but when I look at screens of his work on the 109, Freddy's name pop's up in my mind... and a big smile is on my face.

Cheers 8)

C'mon guys end this war now! It doesn't matter who's the original creator of that cockpit Oleg's Team, Freddy, SG1_Afdn or God himself. The only thing that matters is we have fun with it and enjoy flying.

Any chance that someone would work on the BF 110 C4 - C/B cockpit so it looks as old as the cockpit of the BF109 E ?

And another thing which is more complicated, is there any estimation of whether we will be able to constract the Me210's front glass window infront & under the pilot's seat?
