Hi Freddy,
I have to say that your cockpits are the finest I've seen anywhere. It makes this SIM so much more immersive and with the other mods the overall improvement is superb. I'm jealous of your squadron mates who are able to fly with your other pits.

Thanks for the tip on removing the picture from the P51 cockpit.

I'm a bit older and have been flying IL2 since it first came out. My eyes are not what they used to be. For me, a compromise because of computer screen limitations and my eyesight would be to have the gunsight reflector glass more clear as I have to strain a bit to see the target. Is it possible to have an adjustment for this as an option? If it means reworking the artwork then please ignore this request.

Thanks again for your superb artwork.

Hey Dude, do you know what files you removed to get rid of the conflict? I have the same problem with the heli style cockpit Smile

Cheers

I/JG2_Dargon Wrote:In your MODS folder create a folder. Name it for example "Freddie P51". Then open it and create a folder named "3do". Open the "3do" folder and create a folder called "cockpit". Open the "cockpit" folder and drag&drop the "P-51D-20(K14)" folder from the rar file into it. It should be like this at the end:

C:/Progs/Il-21946/MODS/Freddie P51/3do/cockpit/P-51D-20(K14)

Hope this helps people who aren't really familiar with the order of folders. Wink

Mr.Fox, the above procedure fixed the problem for me, hope it works for you.

I did this and was able to turn the mirrors back on also.

hey Flushmeister, and Bakshi. I'm thinking back and trying to remember exactly what files were causing the conflict. I cant remember exactly. just make sure you dont have any P-51D-20(K14) folders with similar files. - i think I might have removed an older " MIRROR MOD" not sure though. sorry I cant be more help.

I installed as per what was said in this forum and still havent been able to use it. Please help I cant wait to use this wonderful cockpit!!!

my file structure is

il2 sturmovik 1946\mods\Freddie P51\3do\cockpit\P-51D-20(K14)

Thanks in advance! Tongue

That looks like it should work. I see though that a difference between your path and mine is that I have no spaces in the pathname below MODS. Just a hunch, but try removing the spaces from the name of the "Freddie" directory.

Thanks Mr. Fox for your reply. It must be a conflict with 51 mirror or gunsight addon, I'll check closer, thanks mate........

Doesn't matter.
I figured it out!

Stargazer, would you plz share how you cleared the gunsight transparancy?

BAD_GRANT Wrote:Stargazer, would you plz share how you cleared the gunsight transparancy?

Hi BAD_GRANT,

Go to the folder P-51D-20(K14) wherever you placed it.
Look for the file Glas5.mat
change the line Under [Layer0] ColorScale 1.0 1.0 1.0 0.3 to ColorScale 1.0 1.0 1.0 0.1

Just the last number pair is changed from 0.3 to 0.1. If you increase or decrease this number it will change the amount of gunsight glass greyness.

Cheers

Unfortunately, I am unable to open the .mat file. Is there a special program I need to do that?

When I try to open the file, my computer wants to use MS ACCESS to open it. It doesn't give me the option to use another program.
