My res is 1680x1050 on 22'' LCD with AA 8Q AF app controlled without any problems on others maps.
What hurt me is the big stutter on those areas.

I'll look forward for your updates or fixes...thanks.

More I fly over this map more I like it!

Amazing map Redko. You topped yourself on this one. It felt like I was in the tropics flying over this map

Loving the map. No stutter issues so far.

A small mission I threw together for Blue side on Palau.

Get it here.

Just put these in IL-2/Missions/Single/Country of your choice.

You and three other dudes take off with your Rufe seaplanes with little bombs on em.'
Scout out and attack any Allied PT boats to the NNW.

Finding the enemy AAA annoyingly accurate Tongue

Tested with UP 2.0.

Enjoy

Slowdowns (from 60/58 stable fps with sync on to 22/29 fps with heavy stutterin') happens around north-east coast of Goikul and coast north of Mukero.

I've tried to reduce tga's size as you suggest but that not solve Sad Might be too much surf (damn' BeachBoys!)

Ok for Goikul and Mukero. There is surf indeed there but there is parts of the map where surf is more present... Seems a silly question but imagine your on these 2 places, you plain oriented to north, do you have fps loss when looking at east, west, north ? There is a big reef at north-west of Goikul so maybe is the origin of the problem in this place.

BTW with my 8800gt i can't play at 8AAA, to much fps loss. when there is surf you CG tries to filter surf...and in general CG are bad with surf water textures.

Stuttering and FPS lost when flying at low altitude above corals, reefs, shallow water near the coasts are normal in il2. It has absolutely nothing to do with graphic card or the processor (it only varies a little from rig to rig). Problem is bad optimization of the shallow water in IL2 engine, and its anisotropic filtering.

I can only suggest trying another graphic card driver, setting anisotropic filtering at lower value or lowering water settings to 2.

100% agree. Most of the problem is in the way aniso works with IL2. Originally it's bad...and when there is surf is worth. That's why i have just to for aniso, that's useless to have more.

So master you see that...i followed all your teachings for coral and map_c work  . Thanks again for help Avala.

Save what? are you launching an existing campain? I just reinstalled my campain and all work perfectly : before this i had a message telling me that there was an existing campain but impossible the erase the profile or save progression. after reinstallation no more problem.

With your static.ini checker do you have the last version of the complete static ?

I wanted to create a small mission, but I can not save them.
You ar deffo missing some objects. Check your version.

Good mornin'.

I agree (obviously) with Avala and you about the relevance and differences from each rig to another.
I've tested many times lowering AF and water setting but stutter it's always there.

Flyn' over land it's smooth without any prob, but if I'm over reefs with more surfs at Goikul's EE-NE and Mukero's W-NW (especially watchin' at them trough the cockpit) Il2 become unplayable. I don't know anything about map makin'/moddin' but is there a way to eradicate waves and surfs?

I don't care about fps lowerin': with 27/30
you can however play...but the slideshow caused by stutters is really frustrating.

Waiting for another redko's masterpiece, Regards.

Can I use this map as a substitute for the original map by renaming the folder, as I did with the Kyushu map? Or will the changes to the houses cause problems with doing this?
