So there's last question to ask.
Have you placed those bob_*.tga and bob_*.tree.tga in Mods/Mapmods/maps/_Tex/land/summer ?

Yes I have. I just don;t understand why it won't work :? LSA or anyone else, please could (if you have time) could you send (PM, post here or e-mail) me a copy of your_Tex folder? That way I can compare and try yours.
Do I need to have tga converter to get these files to work?

If you have downloaded rars with Andrey's textures 1 and 2 then you'd have these 4 files:
\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Mods\Mapmods\maps\_Tex\land\summer\
bob_fields_1.tga
bob_fields_1.tree.tga
bob_fields_2.tga
bob_fields_2.tree.tga
Then you'll get those tree lines provided you run the game in OpenGL mode and have something like this in your map's load.ini:
[FIELDS]
LowLand0 = land/summer/bob_fields_1.tga
LowLand1 = land/summer/bob_fields_1.tga
LowLand2 = land/summer/bob_fields_1.tga
LowLand3 = land/summer/bob_fields_1.tga
I put these lines just to see the mod works ok - most of my map gets covered with SoW-style textures and trees. That's it...

I get a load.ini error on my maps. I don't get the error if I leave the tree textures with the.tga at the end but I still don't get trees.
Think I might have cracked it :wink: In Avala's terrain lighting mod he has a _Tex folder in it, which means I have 2 folders. Avala's is as follow's:
MODs/ Avalas terrain/maps/_Tex/cloud shadows/land light.
Nope, added it to mine and no difference-still no trees

Well, then all I'd suggest is to disable Avala's mode and to see what happens.

I got these working great with CanonsUK Channel Map.
Anyone got them working with the Battle of France map? If so how?

I'm sure I've done everything right.
Rus-I didn't enter those texts into my load.ini but into the file names.
At this point in time these are my file names:
bob_fields_1
bob_fields_1.tree
bob_fields_2
bob_fields_2.tree
Could my static.ini be causing it?

Had issues getting shippack 2 to show up
issue turned out to be duplicate ini files in DAMAGEMOD2
do a search for the appropriate ini file and see if there's one loading in an earlier mod

Still haven't got the tree textures working
But I was wondering, when you click in MAPMODS in your MODS folder, do you all have a 3do file containg the following files: ?
airfield/ concrete-desert-ground
Just to reiterate, in my _Tex folder in the summer folder I have the following SoW files:
bob_fields_1
bob_fields_1.tree
bob_fields_2
bob_fields_2.tree
