Try to search and put all the .ini file in a unique installation in MODS/STD/......./OBJECTS cutting and pasting there the possibles out of place!

copy and paste the shippack folder to IL-2 1946/MODS, Add lines to the files in IL-2 1946/MODS/STD as needed, add lines to the ends of the same files in IL-2 1946/MODS/AC_ or whatever the folder is called as needed. It should be as simple as that.
Shouldn't have to worry about the last part with UI 1.1

There is a way by modify the ship.ini file that allow to duplicate ship with different height in water like them be beached in shallow water or docked in harbour?
Ex: Transport1

(new) Transport1-5 (5 mt below her standard floating)
Transport1-7 (the same 7 mt below)

I have never had any ship mods before and i don't see any "Chief.ini" or "Ships.ini" files in my game anywhere.
Should i have these somewhere? how do the stock ships work if i have no ship ini ? I read somewhere they are in the technics ini but will the new ships ini make the stock one's stop working?
My game is UI 1.1.1 4.09m, it's pretty stock standard as far the new UI version goes apart from maps. I do have some other basic eye candy in there.
My problem is i don't see the above 2 mentioned ini files in my Mods STD folder with the air, static, stationary and technics ini ones. Should i just put the 2 new ones in here and copy over the different text from the other new ini copies into my exsisting copies?

It should not. Ship Pack 2 is its own entity with its own objects and should not interfere with any other modifications or the stock game.

Was the size of the Independence class CVLs changed? If so I'd appropriate it if someone could tell me the dimensions of the flight deck.

had re reformat pc, so all this is done on a fresh install. using UI1.1 as a base and then adding to this.
d/loaded the ship pack, extracted and added the mod as per instructions.( inc ini additions)
looked in the FMB and found the two packs listed in the objects box for static and moving ships.
added moving ships ok.
with the static ones i am about 8 ships missing, mainly cargo, some destroyers, and the graf Zeppelin.
they are in the list but do not show up on the map, but the ones that are missing are visible/usable as moving ships.
checked all the ini files and all is in the right place.
is there a known conflict with any other mod?

I would suggest uninstall - reinstall step by step.
