We have to remember that people who are above average intelligence and sometimes referred to as geniuses, can be also rather intolerant of others who do not share their quick reasoning and understanding of a subject......

Something we are familiar with...we see as easy...yet for those coming to it for the first time...it is quite difficult....installing these mods here is a perfect example.

We can only hope that he will calm down and return.

The ego is the biggest problem for mankind....none of us like criticism....but if we are wise we should encourage it. But there is not a university in the world with courses in wisdom......we can only develop that ourselves.

Fabianfred.

I'd like to clear something up,

If jolly was perepared to give me the time i needed then i would be perfectly happy to finish my projects. I have Exams next week which i need to study for and im also in a new squad so my time is limited.

Jolly refused to believe that i have things more important than modding in my life, which is why i have stopped. If he's not going to let me pass my exams and settle in with my new squad then i am not going to finish.

I have no problem accepting citicsm, i like my work to be as accurate as possible. I beleive i proved that in the early stages of this project when i was making basic shapes. Also i have been skinning for il2 for a few years and that requires lots of work to criticsm to get a perfect skin. Check the M4T forums if you dont believe me. My name is ME_109_Fan.

I don't appreciate being called "Egocentric" or "throwing a tantrum" as i have done no such thing.

Do you really think i would want to just give up on project i had been working on for months?

If jolly agrees to give me the time to finish it then maybe i will.......

but we haven't spoke for over 4 weeks.

Let jolly make the decision. after all it's his and wolf's site :?

Sorry if my post looked like an attack on you...it wasn't meant to be.......just pointing out some human failings which apply to us all....and most of it was actually taking your side.
Of course, not knowing the story behind the scenes led me to an incorrect conclusion...
certainly, I agree your exams are more important than anything else...

There has got to be some common ground here gents..
Hawks exams are extremely important to him, that's fair enough, and it should be expected that they take precedent.. after all, real life has a priority, regardless of this game..
But Hawk also has taken on responsibilities by becoming one of the modders at this site.. That responsibility is to the thousands,.. yes thousands of members here that may be hanging on any development news that comes their way daily!
It's a bit of a catch 22 scenario, because both sides of this are equally important to those concerned..
Lets have a little dialogue between the two factions eh chaps... I'm sure an amicable arrangement can be reached! Big Grin

why open discussion when this is clearly something that AAA team need to solve between them selfs ,

bringing this to boards wouldn't solve anything ...

Year 8 SATs or equivalent AKA options time. Yeah there a bitch don't let us get in the way of it if you need time out just tell people to sod off and give you some space Smile

- RAF_Magpie - 02.05.2008

Yup dude, do your best with your exams eh. I know how difficult it is trying to do all this wonderful game stuff and do difficult exams at the same time...

I had to stop playing for a month so I could pass my CPL Nav exam (that was a real pain in the rear)...

Re: public boarding this sort of thing, perhaps it is best if you could talk to Jolly and the others via PM's; saves mud flinging and what not... Smile

Best of luck with your exams, and if you decide to, even better luck with the Seafire Wink

thanks guys,

sorry if i took it the wrong way fabian fred

I may just disappear until after my exams and then i can get this off my mind

- Trooper117 - 02.05.2008

Er, I never asked for any kind of public forum debate.. I just asked that the two factions concerned just talk to each other for the common good.. It's pretty obvious we aren't going to influence their decisions..

- RAF_Magpie - 02.05.2008

+1 Trooper - talking about things is always a good thing.

Hawk, good to hear mate.

- Chaoic16 - 02.05.2008

Seconded, let Hawk do his thing first, and then he can finally take his mind off from exam. I know how he feel since I am currenlty studying as computer science in my unversity and I have final exam comming next week. I have to spend alot of time studying for both calculus III and Java programming and these exams often worries me alot.

Let him settle down on everything after his exam and new squad, then this situtation would get much better.

Smile

Chaoic out...

- vanir - 02.05.2008

Hey Hawk, thanks for what you've already done mate. Do your exams, worry about this stuff later

- Slow - 03.05.2008

Hawk, exams are more important than the Seafire, we all have patience for it mate

Good luck mate, if I get my tentams next year I'll stop modding for a while too. Please do come back after your exams, you're a great modder (at least greater than I am).

- VT-51_Razor - 03.05.2008

Take care of real life first, so you can get back to what is REALLY important here! LOL Good luck on the school stuff, and thanks for all the work you've done here. Hurry back.
