Kidding
Well 1.2.5 is near release which is days away I imagine, it will be in there.

Even when they are released I am already planning on making an update to the engine to go along with the future release of the Cockpit. I found some more detail on the engine thanks to Ace Of Aces and I have made a very tiny error in the engine, the overheat temperature is a tad higher than should. Also some other things to make the engine more complex and more to real life.

Really great news, thanks for info Smile

Hi guys, I am getting 60% CTD after installing these, but I think I know why.

I do not have any of the UI versions, only 4.09 then added loads of custom mods myself. I was wondering, is there any way I can manually update my buttons file to support the mig and sabre? practially everything else has worked for me except for these planes :\

- Razgriz_37 - 30.11.2009

I believe this mod is supported by installing the AAA UI mods.

Lt. Wolf or Monguse can tell you better than I.

@ Lt.Wolf

I totally missed that post, but I just read through the whole thing and it's very informative. I guess I'll just have to be Patient. One question though, The ammo in the F-86A-5 seems to run out fairly quick. From what I've read on this, the F-86 had around 1600 rounds. I noticed that the ammo in the F-86A-5 is about half of what the XP-86 has. Are the number of rounds modeled accurately in the F-86A-5?

Thanks to all involved in this project, this is going to be great once the kinks are all ironed out.

F-86A-5 have same ammo as XP-86

But F-86A-5 use browning m3 machinegun with rate of fire 1200 rounds per minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okRRc4hqV0c

For extra clarification: my XP-86 was just a P-80 in a pretty skin, so weapons, engine, flight model, ETC was the same as the P-80. F-86A-5 has a ROF of 1200rpm per gun, and the ammo is something like 230 rounds per gun or so (I don't have it right here so I can't say for sure)

Any chance for standalone install ?

- Alex T. - 11.12.2009

yes guys, I appreciate the mastodontic effort, but all these packs you do can be a royal pain in the ar$e...
Why not having standalone versions as well? I mean, it's almost 800 MB and some of that stuff I couldn't care less about having..
Mine is not meant to be a rant, is just a request to make things less complicated.

Thank you!

A.

"-Changed the weapons in the MiG-15 so that the main trigger fires all guns instead of having separate controls."

Personally, I liked it better the old way you had it. There were more options to fire the guns seperately. Plus, there is a 'Fire all guns' command in IL-2 anyway, so I don't know why this change was made, unless it was for historical reasons.

There is not much ammo in the MiG-15. One way I made it 'last longer' was to fire just the two 23mm cannons with my main trigger. When they ran out, I could fire the 37mm with another button. (One burst of 23mm's is plenty to down a Sabre anyway.) Against bombers, I would like to fire only the 37mm and save the 23mm for the fighters.

Maybe you might reconsider changing the guns back to the way they were.
