No ACE... I was referring at this "pdseudo" dialog you like to let the others think you are having by making gazzilions of quoting that are not read by any one here (unless sufficient drunk) and they either prove you just want to show off how much you "really care" for the other ones point but you are missing it all together by sheer quantity or... you manifest some compulsive behavior.

Please stop polluting this thread.. make a wish list for corrections... if Freddy doesn't care or doesn't like your point... you just have to ask someone else or build that uber FM your self.

gents, ace has already been warned off posting in this thread for the time being, now you're kicking him whilst he's down.

Please get off the topic of ace and back on topic now.

- GaryR - 30.11.2009

Is the topic to talk about the Corea mod and maybe even problems one may be having with it?
:?

- P/O W. 'Moggy' Cattermole - 30.11.2009

yes, you can do that; it rather devolved into ace of aces arguing with various people, which was OT. If you have issues or bugs to report, please post them.

I did, got buried a page back during the hair pulling exercise...

might be worth reposting it, mate.

NP - I'm new to the "Mods" part of 1946 but have been trying to get up to speed by reading everything here and on the Histo Forum before posting. As I had a "virgin" install of 4.09m there was no "Mods" folder so I started with installing the UM 1.8 package (also got the latest JSGME.exe update). That gave me the JSGME-MODS folder (populated) and a -MODS folder (empty). The GME loads the listed mods quite well and when loaded, the initial IL2 splash screen shows the "Mods Enable" logo. I DL'd the "Corea Mod" package and carefully followed the instruction here and (though different) the ones on the Histo site, including the newer 1.8 button and ini files. I have yet to see the Mod. I even tried dropping the Corea folders into the JSGME-MODS folder and loading them with GME. It loads them but still no jets. I feel like a total newb but what the heck am I missing? THe game loads fine regardless of how I move stuff around, though with patches the initial loadup takes a bit longer.. Thanks for any help, I want jets!

Bug Report - =DFA=BeoWolf - 30.11.2009

I don't know if this bug has been reported yet or not. But I'm running the latest KGO Korea map with the Korea pack installed and Zuti 1.0 on. When I build a mission with Jets, F-86, F-84, F-80, I have 4 planes selected and only 3 take off leaving one behind on the runway. Now this is like the Carrier spawn online when it's keyed as an airbase, only the host can spawn on the carrier. The missing man on the tarmac only happens online. Hope both of these problems get fixed before the final release of the Korean pack. JFMI, does the carrier spawn bug happen when playing all the maps sans the Korea pack or are they exlusive to one another?

The problem is at Histomod we play with the 4.09b1m , I don t know your install with 4.09 ...
You have to try another mod , to be sure the problem is from the Corea mod , or if it s a problem with all the mods ...
Perhaps it s a problem from your install ? If your folder "-Mods " have a "-" before " Mods " , remove the "-" ?
Sorry for this moment about this sort of install I don t know ...
Anybody else have the same install and tried the Corea Mod ?

About Ace of Aces , he would have been able to come to say : I found 35 % error in your climb rate ... Would be it possible to change that ?
Everything is in the way you talk to somebody ...
I would have answered him : yes, I am trying to resolve this problem ... The problem is not in the FM ( buttons ) , I m making the changes in the java class , wait for the next update and test it again ...( not with IL2 compare , but with a real fly ... )

Thanks to all ...

Assuming you meant UP 1.8 package, the folders for this mod go into the MODS folder. Did you rename the MODS folder without the minus sign to activate it?

Sorry, yes I meant UP 1.8 which installs the Generic Mod Enabler and I updated it to the latest version 2.3.1.132. All the mods listed in the UP 1.8 install and remove just fine, program works well.
It created a folder called JSGMEMODS with all the mods that show up in the GME window. I run 4.09m, and also have Just Flight's BoB add-on installed and am running a Lowergrin Dynamic campaign in Normandy '41 using his latest DCG 3.43. All A-OK. I currently have the "-" removed from the -MODS folder with:
Avions Statiques
corea sound mod - (created by me) with sub folders Presets and Samples from the Corea DL)
FM - from Corea DL
Pack Mod Coree - from Corea DL
STD - with /com/maddox/il2/objects containing my air.ini modified with the added jets at the bottom

I must be missing a step or steps or just not understanding how the mods are accessed/enabledd other than using GME.

Thanks!

A warning for everyone who uses UP v1.8, when any of you install Korea War mod, please make sure you disable FM folder because these folder causes serious bugs in UP v1.8. When I open bomb bay or turn smoke on (wing tip smoke), the game crashed with memory error messages. I will be waiting for Freddy to fix this issues, it got me frustrated because this FM folder removes plane exploding when going over 680 when I want to go mach one in steep dive in F-86A to F Sabre. So for now I am keeping F-86 and MiG-15 from going near 680 mph for now while I am enjoying these Korea War mod.

Chaoic out...

A lot of things are in the "FM " folder , not just the sonic speed , but G effects too , ejection seat .... etc ..... If you disable it , you will loose all these things ...

Wouldn't it make more sense to disable the Bomb Bay Doors Mod instead (and not use smoke)?

- HolyGrail - 03.12.2009

I believe the main problem is :

Korea mod = same class file edited ( different entries )
Bomb Bay door mod = same class file edited ( different entries )
Pat Smoke and Camera mod = same class file edited ( different entries )
Uranium mod = same class file edited ( class entries fixed , now compatible with bomb bay door mod )

Uranium effects mod class file have been fixed by editing bomb bay door class file entries in to Uranium class file
but that's about it thus far and unless there is one united class file with all entries edited from all mods
to be compatible between each other , there will be problems and game crash happening .
Thus far PAT smoke & camera mod and Korea mod is not compatible for example with Uranium effects mod
and bomb bay door plus mod , hopefully I am not wrong about it .
I don't see how to make this all work and not to force everyone to use or install all mods with edited same
class file in order for game not to crash
Freddy would have to inlude in his class file also all custom entries from other mods class file to be compatible
between each other but then again you will have to install all 4 mods in order not to crash as united class file entries
will be looking for these other mods during game loading .

That's my $0.02 Tongue
