No, Ingles
Isn't the forum that you download it off italian? Def'nitely not spanish though!
Quote:That's happened in the QMB for me. However I was dumping ordinance to take on an AI a/c. I was about 100 meters off the water. I thought it was the splash which is about the size of a water explosion. I'm guessing that the torp goes off when it hits the water from that height. Kinda flimsy construction if water spray at 100 meters can demolish the plane
About the torpedo exploding on contact with the sea, it'd be the blast from that, not the plume of water, that knocked out the aircraft (given that in IL2 you appear to be able to fly into water splashes and not be harmed.)

Hi Rowddy,
haven't seen any official announcement on this but this post by Magpie on Page 1 may give an indication of the way things may be heading. IMHO it would be good to see the various "groups" working together on mods and if that means registering at another site to download then so be it (we all had to register here didn't we)
Cheers

I really hate to say this, but I do not want to have anymore spam
People complain that we don't allow linking to other sites, and the first time we do...
- Rowddy - 24.06.2009
in that case it should be downloadable on both sites i think. because i and i think others also don't want to register to a site just for a new download.
- RAF_Magpie - 25.06.2009
Ok, Rowddy, this isn't directed at you personally, but I am going to take what you said and run with it...

Why should we bother busting our backs, with the stress of policing every post to make sure there aren't links to other sites, that openly thwart our rules & views, that are there to keep the community safe? Why should we try and keep certain aspects secret, and safe? Why should we continuously get treated like the bad guys? Why should we watch as you people take our good names, go behind our backs, and make snarky, hateful, little comments? Well, to be quite frank - we shouldn't. Why should we try to help the community, when the community does its best to thwart what we try to do.
Why not open the door for the community so they can get this great aircraft, which is much needed? Perhaps establishing the fact that if this works, and nothing goes to crap, we can let our guard down and establish "free trade", so to speak, with the rest of the community? We trust these guys, so we let this happen, while we continue to do what we must to try and keep it safe. Do you honestly think we didn't vet this decision through and through? The rule is still there, this is one of the rare exceptions to it - due to the partnership we have entered with the Red Devils.
Its not going to kill you to sign up there, and help them with the beta is it? Why go out on the limb and sign up? It would take the time it took you to write even one of those posts, I mean, that is after all the only thing the authors are really asking of us...

Swordfish Void? - Boris The Spider - 25.06.2009
There are several nice skins out there already for the Swordfish but what should the Paintschemes folder be named? Right now I don't have a folder to put them in. The default skin is nice but I'd like a bit of variety.
EDIT: OK, I figured that out. Just make a folder in Paintschemes called
SwordfishMkI.
I now have the default skin, plus three others including a Japanese skin. Very cool. 8)
Now, is there a Void to make a template with or even a 'public template' already available?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
a void will be published with the fist update (in few days, we are going to fix DM, FM and some other things), because there are some slight mapping changes to do. We are also in need of a better default skin (or, better said, default skins, beause we have two main texture files instead of one, like all other IL-2 aircraft) so if a good 2D artist is willing to help, please PM ...
About torpedoes, we have used the standard torpedoes that are also on Beaufighter and A-20, if you drop them from more than 100 m they will explode. This happens with all torpedoes.
Thanks for our feedback.

I think you'll find that that is already happening. The current pit is the Polikarpov I-16's cockpit. This is a place holder while they finish off the actual cockpit. When this is done, the gauges will change to the correct ones, and the visual field will be set so that the meshes in the right places are visible from the pit.

that is good news to hear, thanks for the info mate

Without dragging this on; considering the hundreds of hours required to create the aircraft, and the huge amount of expertise and talent it demands. It sems a very tiny thing to ask that you invest only a few moments to register at the site to download it.
- Rowddy - 25.06.2009
i never said i wasn't gratefull for people spending their time an maybe money creating beautifull things for the community. I never ever questioned that. I only wondered about the fact that you have to register on a site (not english) to download and for what purpose? I wasn't aware about the fact that the policy regarding links changed. So if i there will be no other link for a download and i still don't wanna register isn't that then my choice and my choice alone? I don't understand the fuzz to be honest.
i never put someone down i just made some polite inqueries about to my best knowledge something was considered policy here. if the rules changed fine by me but don't attack me for just asking simple.
So once more i never intended to discredit or put someone down over this.
regards Rowddy

Thanks again it is a beautiful aircraft and I have had no issues thus far 8)
As for it being off-site, I had no issues navigating the site since I enjoy Latin languages
I could imagine how allowing off site d/l's would help AAA's bandwidth figures and thus save some on the bills. Be it that or other considerations, I love it!

There is an option for English language both on home page and on registration form.

In software rendering, which I normally use for frame rate considerations, there's no problem, the mod is great.
Can you post a screenshot? What is your graphic card?

Please excuse the delay. I'll post the screenies tommorrow.
