I don't think so. I'll try installing it and see if that works. Sorry about my late reply, I had forgotten about this thread.

I downloaded and installed Carrier Take-off mod 5.3.3 (extracted it and put it in my MOD folder according to the readme) but it changed nothing.

OK, I think what's happening here is that this mission starts with a distressed TBM flying over your carrier from the rear and landing into the ocean next to the carrier. It should overshoot without crashing into the deck.
In your case, I suspect the TBM is actually hitting the carrier. Start the mission, pause it immediately and go into an external view to watch the descent of the TBM.
I've checked the mission in default HSFX, and it was OK. I don't know if UI 1.2 has modified either the FM of the TBM or the speed of the extended CVE's, or if you have added a mod that affects the TBM.
As this mission works in HSFX, I suspect the latter is the case. The solution is either to track down this mod and disable it, or delete the TBM from the mission via the FMB.

The TBM did indeed crash into our carrier. I removed it in the FMB and now the mission seems to work as it should! Thanks alot for the help! Hopefully the other missions will work properly from the get go.
Now if you'll excuse me, I believe I have som japs to bomb.
