Looking for more basic QMB+ mission files... Found some posted here (AAA forum post by Forager
(The link is inoperative) -> direct link to download location:
Eldon45's QMB mission packs ) ... that fills a lot of holes, but there are many more to be done to fill out the available maps one can put into QMB+.
Anyone spent some time doing these, or can I consider this my new goal for contribution to the AAA mods community?

Lots of us would appreciate it very much if we could get QMB+ missions for each of the new maps. I know I would.

Right-oh then. Let's see, which page within this thread were the general directions for mission template creating on? ...
Guess it really doesn't matter which map, just one that hasn't got any missions assigned to it yet. Think I'll start with ... Philippines. But don't hold your breath waiting for imminent posting of missions, time to tinker with missions is a valuable commodity these days.
/edit/ Philippines ... not Phillipines. Makes quite a difference when trying to create a QMB flyable mission!!

I was wondering - I don't have a Japan Map for QMB...why? With flyable B-29 it seems like a natural..Is it possible to put one in?

QMBPlus saved files - Nicholaiovitch - 05.11.2008
Does anyone have this problem.....?
I have been through the entire QMBPlus installation and all the new maps work.
However.........when I look at saved missions, they appear as the old "quick" file extension missions from the original installation 4.08m. (I have 4.09 with MODS wrapper)
I still have a "Quicks" folder in my main IL2 directory from the old installation and this is the only folder that QMBPlus seems to "see". (all my old saved QMB files are here and have the "QUICK" file extension.
As a result, I cannot add new maps even though I have completed all the necessary changes (gui/confi etc). The reason......the template Red and Blue missions are not being found and are "mis" files and not "QUICK" file extensions. (I get the "wrong target" message.)
At least, this is what I believe is the problem!
Would appreciate advice specifically about the "Quicks" folder and how I can get the QMBPlus to look at the main "Missions/Quick" folder instead.
Thanks chaps.
Edit......
OK guys I found the problem...
I guessed it was the template files that I made were somehow incompatible. Since I could not download the posted files from "Filefront", I found "Reflected" had posted his files at another host.
Having placed these template missions into the "Missions/Quick" folder, everything works.
Many thanks "Reflected".

FC Wrote:canonuk Wrote:Hi FC,
Firstly, let me say great mod. Your QMB Plus was one of the reasons I decided to install the hack.
I've had great success adding new maps and populating them with ground targets. However I've had some trouble creating new mission types. I followed all the instructions regarding naming and created the correct entries, but when I typed the new mission name into the 'Mission Type' box it just loaded the 'None' mission instead.
Any ideas where I might be going wrong?
Thanks
Joe
I'm sorry, there is something wrong and i must find what is the problem. So at the moment adding new target will not work but don't delete your missions, I'll solve this one way or another and you will be able to use missions that you have made.
FC
found a solution for this, watch your pm FC
and thanks for QMBPlus
