I had no luck to pilot true A-3, its model of flight must be historic I do not doubt it. But be what everything models them of flight of IL2-1946 are historic ? Or have he created simply in one concerns of balance.

I do not really understand what you want to ask. I only can say:
This A-3 is based on historical informations by the Royal Airforce and the Luftwaffe. Several documents are by the United States Army Air Forces. If you put all this papers together you get a little book.
Most airplanes in Il-2 have FMs that are not historical correct.
For example:
The Spit Vb should be much faster in game but her climb rate in game is toxic. Same thing with later spits. Their speed is ok but the climb rate is too much. A Spit IX for example has nearly the same climb rate like the Focke Wulf up to 6000 meters but in game you even have problems to climb away from a Spit Vb.
Take a look to the eastern front. Here we have the La-5. In a russian documentation of the La-5 the moderator was so proud that this plane can fly 530 Km/h at SL. In game the La-5 nearly makes 550 km/h. In the original game version you always have to stay over 3.5oo meters with your 190 A-4 to outrun the La-5. But the real A-3 and A-4 could outrun the La-5 whenever they want.

Why this plane doesn't have any LODs? It's ok now to ignore them in AAA mods?

These film show probably not La5 but La5FN 1943 performance ( watch that speaker spoke about La5 with engine "FN" )

A-3 is historic I agree.
But in il2 the other planes are not it and it is difficult to keep a balance.

So tell me what makes the A-3 going out of "the balance"?

Very simple my dear, as red pilot i prefer meet an A4 than A3....

Um....I just installed the A-3 (high res.) and now the Moded versions of the game won't load (puter goes to desktop. I also installed 6 DOF at the same time so I guess that could well be the problem. Any ideas how I might fix this??
cheers

I installed the A-3 mod as per the instructions. Now the A-3 shows up in the game and I can flyit but the pit isn't the new one with the ammo counter. In fact there is a blank plate.
I have deleted the A-3 folder from the mods and will try and install it again.

And as a diploma engineer I prefer to sit in a historical A-3 meeting historical Spitfires and Lavockins.
If you all want to call your planes FOCKE WULF, SPITFIRE or LAVOCHKIN you also have to make sure that they have the same performance like those historical planes.
If not, we can call those planes BUGS 190 vs BUNNY IX or PUSHKIN RED 5 vs J

i LOVE this plane
the new crosshair (or what is it called in planes?) looks extremely nice, any way of using it on every other luftwaffe fighter. i just love that crosshair!
if you tell me how to enable it to other aircraft then i could do it myself too i suppose

Just curious - I thought I read somewhere that the new cowl mesh etc was available for all versions of the 190 now. Is this true?
