I don't honestly understand why release dates are staggered for different regions. Why not have it all available digitally across the globe simultaneously? Staggering made sense when you had to wait for the retail box, but not any more with digital distribution.

Oleg said in interviews, both online and in person that SoW has a deadline by him of Autumn 2010, likely no later than October. This includes a statement by him a some weeks ago at a website where he has an account.

He said recently that it may be later due to unforseen software updates (or something) which they can use to their benefits. Just don't hold your breath. I respect Oleg to make a great product, and I don't really care when it comes out.

By the way, Storm of War: Battle of Britain will require DirectX 11 hardware, especially graphics cards and updated Operating System. I am going into that stage of getting ready, too.
1C: Maddox Games is delayed partly because of waiting for DirectX 11 implementation into the simulation with testing while using the latest ATI and NVIDIA VGAs.
