Cool !!
The BF-109 G-12 would be PERFECT, specialy to my Squad.
We have 12 NEWBYS, and are only 8 old Rabbits...we prefer the 109-Series btw...
so we have Problem to teach and take care of them all in a Rotte.
This Plane could help us very much, and no Newby get lost over enemy territory.
Thx I/JG54_Gringo, very good idea !!
Also other Training-Planes would be important.
I think, no one would fly only one Typ of Plane all the Time...
Regards,
renmik

And for the newbie lost over enemy territory...Man.."Sounds" soooo damn familiar

This is quite a good idea; one that I must second - and hope very much to see... As well as a co-pilot seat added to bombers, and natural two seat planes such as the Mossie - all of which would be increasingly helpful...
Infact, I would be as bold to suggest a few other two seat 'training' varients.. Such as the two seat mustang, a T-33 Shooting Star, and the two seat Me-262... possibly even a TR-9 Spitfire; although, being less difficult to fly - would still make for a good training machine...

I vote to have the Bf109G-4 with a slot first

Definatly. Gringo - good idea old boy. BTW, we should get together and do some friendly competitions/co-ops. Would be good fun I reckon
But a definate winner for the other concepts... IMHO, training aircraft, with dual spots - even if only one can pilot the ship, are a must have.

Tandem controls from a single aircraft has been done in Condor gliding simulator:

And apparently coming with SOW too... but... by then, I reckon our grandchildren's arthritis will be too bad to fly online

I/JG54_Gringo Wrote:Yes we're aces, and we'll dump the newbies to find their way to perfect flying alone  ?
It's very usefull for the clans. For exemple,we have some new guys in my clan, which are whinning for training sorties.
How someone can think that one of the hardest to fly planes, does not need to have a training variety in the sim?
As we say on bulgarian: "I see a lot of bread in this plane" .
I'm tired from saying to a new guy when we're going to fight: "Stay as close to me as you can,and watch my moves" ,and when i turn my head back i see him trying to out turn La-5,when he's in a 109,without my permition to attack
(Guess how did he ended up...,i saved his skin, just a fraction of the second before that LA-5 start to shoot).
this plane will be a great adition to the sim, perfect to training new pilots.

So,to the plane modders...

I know what you mean fly_zo.
I hope, the answer could be, to add a gunner position to an aircraft your choise,
and to hide the gunner-pit...
That could be a possible solution...but myself don't have any idea of modding.
Maybe, someone has discovered, how it could be possible...it would be AWESOME.
Until that...we should be patient.

I'll be happy to get the G-12 even if it is with only one control post.
Only it have to be added one more cannopy and just doubling the gauges, control stick movements, pedal movements...I think that this will be the most acceptable at first time.
ps:I really hope that there's some way to make a 2 seater, cotrolable from both canopys...And some kind of switch in the instructor's cannopy, which will lock the controling stick in the student pilot's cannopy.
ps2: I have only one suggestion,i'm not a plane modder,but i hope it'll help.
Just add one more normal forward pointed 109 G-6 cannopy, and name it as a gunner position.I think this can happen.

Gringo sounds like the scene in Battle of Britain movie (1968) when they goes to largest battles of the September 1940.
"Ok. red flight stay with me like clue. Here we go"
and theres about 100 airplane dogfighting
