Oh, my God! AAAZoo now!

- Uther - 04.06.2008

Well lets hope in never gets to that. This site is doing very well and definately does NOT need to become the new ubizoo.

Welcome to AAA Park!

You see, here at AAA we under go riggerous training to prevent such things. We are equiped with long zappy sticks, shot guns, and all Ubi-Imports encorporate a lysine deficiency for added security.

Added to this we have 80 miles of fortified moats, motion tracking sensors, 60ft tall high voltage fences, and midgets with screw drivers.

Oh - and a ban function Wink

- Trooper117 - 04.06.2008

lol.. Well, after you have just scared us all to death with the amount of state of the art security AAA has installed, the ban function seems a bit unneccesary.. After being 'zapped' or even shot, banning seems a trifle... mild?

- ojcar - 04.06.2008

The most terrifing measure are the midgets with screwdrivers......

- ArcticViper - 04.06.2008

I'm more afraid of Magpie than any of the security measures... *mumbles*

... he's m-...... m----...... MAD I TELL YA!

*runs away*

- Brophmeister - 04.06.2008

Although we do have the ban function, please don't travel the ubizoo path and turn into a ban everything demon from hell!

Sorry about caps Mr.Jolly when i posted this topic! love this site!

lol ok, well im happy with the model of Spit mk1, i think its the best achievement of the site and of il2 modders, a real finger up to oleg maddox who is supposedly not gonna officially add the plane in il2 because of SOW and he well knows our modders presence. I'm def gonna get storm of war, but it would be nice in the mean time if people could actually fly the Spit 1 on a server, AAA is only 4.08 Sad, does any1 know any existing servers that use it?

If not when i get my laptop before i go to uni i can make my own mini server and allocate a time when i can run it each every few days for the 4.09 lovers! My Dad had the very stupidity to agree to me to spend as much money to 'get the best state of the art laptop on the market with broadband'.

Unfortunately i have to wait about 2 months. But back to the point, my initial asking is this,

If the flight model has been tweaked as necessary, do the figures such as speed, turn etc match close with reality ie .. is the effect of the tweaking giving relatively close figures ie Bf 109 can still hold its strengths against Spit enough like in BOB. This is necessary if it is to be fair online and historical.

Referring to Spitfire Mk1/Bf109E-3/4

> The 109 could CLIMB about 1/4 faster when both 109/Spit not using Supercharger/110%

> The Spit engine cuts out within a few seconds of a DIVE.

(I wasnt sure this was quite as realistic, my reason NOT being a faggot and technically obssessive BUT the fact this PREVENTED pilots from following in most cases, not just the engine recovering after a second in that same dive by moving 3 degrees further down in the dive.

> The 109 had the ability to perform BETTER TURNING* than a spit when using a DIVE/CLIMB half horizontal/half vertical turn (I mean while horizontally turning, to either climb or dive SLIGHTLY to create the better sustained turning circle to use the 109's superior speed & handling in high angles of attack or in a SLIGHT dive to help create a semi horizontal/vertical turn better than a Spitfire. (Above 3/4000m)

Quote from the film Battle of Britain (German Rookie talkin to German Ace) :

Rookie "My brother tells me the Spitfire out turns the Bf 109 so how do we beat it"

Ace "Dive and turn"

*BETTER TURNING - consists of three types, two of which are relevant in horizontal turns

1) ABILITY TO CHANGE VECTOR (not relevant to horizontal turns, mostly quick roll 'n turn)
2) RADIUS & INITIAL TURN

how come this spit dosent have any armour piercing rounds or incendery?

- zaelu - 29.06.2008

Don't aim at Tigers...

- RAF_Magpie - 29.06.2008

Ok for the last time.

All figures are representative of reality, but unaltered into the Il2 world, as not to unbalance the planeset.
