Lt.Wolf Wrote:hi, i must say, these are very very good. But i still had to make my own mods folder, they are simple to do if you would like me to make a post on it. Absolutely brilliant. its awesome when you sit in a b-17 top ball and you can feel and hear every strike. I have been playing with an idea, so if any one can help. Look at Mitchel video by maximumBob 2:15 in, when the bullets strike the plane then there is an explosion when the engine catches fire. Btw if you ever watch dogfights, they use similar bullet hits as you have hear plus the explosion when the engine catches fire. Like an oil tank exploding and blowing the cowling open

now this would be a damnd good idear

Thanks for mentioning these. - Trogdor - 12.07.2008

Thanks to those who mentioned this new cool sound during flight.

No, you should put it in your files/samples folder, where all the modded engine sounds are.

Thanks!

I liked one but not the two together, so I mixed and matched. Much better now Smile

Bullet Hits Very Immersive - Kopfdorfer - 16.08.2008

This is a really nice add on - the sound of the bullet hits still makes me twitch.

A question for you...
Is anyone willing to do the same thing for fabric covered aircraft , ie Gladiators, Mosquitos etc so the sound is more thudding and less clanking?

A thought to consider.

Thanks guys!Smile I just wanna remind you that they're taken from Battle of Britain II Wings of Victory, quite an immersive game...

About the canvas hit sounds: the game uses the same files for canvas and metal, so I think that's not possible to assign different sounds to them, sorry.

I have played Battle of Britain II Wings of Victory once,I don't like this game, especially the recitles.
But the sound it made is better than IL2.

hi good job! but I still would like to see more improvement on sound hitting the plane.

you have 100 if not thousands of rounds some times hitting your plane and to have only 1 to 3 sounds hitting it doesn't really make it sound great. is there any way to get a better handle on the hit sounds as if 50 to 100 lead bullets hitting the plane

Take for instance you throw about 50 rocks against a sheet of plywood then you'll see what I'm talking about, theres nothing like a couple of 100 rounds hitting sounds on your fuselage to make you duck away. Well if you watch the video you'll see and hear what I'm talk'en about.
