Yes, you will need to look at all of the file paths in SFS extractor to make sure you have all of the pieces to the object you want to clone, otherwise it will not work. One way to help you make sure you haven't missed anything is to use someone else's custom objects as a guide, just to make sure you have the same or similar number of files.

Thanks guys. That cloning info is great.
LAL_RONE, I banged through the sfs files and found the DBmg stuff in 3Do11p.sfs.
I uploaded it here with a provisional crater and the origianl texture for people to look at.
It will work in FMB, but you'll get four craters per object (removed the directional shadow, sadly). It will be necessary to rotate them to try to get a natural looking placement. Not really a mod, more a proof of concept thing I guess. :?

THX for you informations !!! I am going to work about this object. I need it to create some special decor in my Hangar Mod v2.0. THX THX !!!
These craters are very good !!!

Bee, did you try only drawing a quarter of the crater and then placing it in the corner of the .tga?
This should allow you to have a single crater at the center of the target object, although it will be made out of repeated quarters of a crater.

Yeah, I tried that last night but the effect wasn't very good. I'm hoping to find some way of reworking the object mapping so that it doesn't repeat. :?

Hmm...
I can give it a look tonight. I don't know if you would be able to change the mapping though...
How about the box portion that is along two sides of the circle? What does that file look like?

Should be in the download posted above. It might be alright for small craters. Good luck!

OK but you can't clone this object ? Some files are missing to succed in cloning.
Your craters substitute the target ?
- Bee - 16.07.2008
Yes, they substitute the marker. For the moment anyway.
