Hi Carnagexxx,
I have this mod working on the P-400, the P-39 D-1, D-2 & N-1 variants.
The P-39 Q-1 & Q-10 still retain the old style gunsight.

New version, see 1st post!

Hmmm, don't like it. It's not historical i think... Trying to do new variant with default N3 gunsight and new reticle
. See apdate later!

An outstanding job mate , the P-39s gunsights needed a urgent improvement.
You can not apply this MOD to Q models? It is that these models had a different gunsight? Anyone who brings the game by default, is terribly ugly :x
Well done
Regards

New version, see 1st post
BERSERKER Applying it for Q-models is easy, but i'm not sure what Q-models use the same. Maybe it's easy to use P-63 gunsight for it?

He had not seen your latest version, but I think I'll stay with the previous one.
Why do not you think that is historically correct the earlier version? That gunsight appears in the photo of you put , and in the book that I saw about the Russians airacobras

I suppose this is N-3A version. My previos version used P-40B sight (N-2 i think), rather ugly and not historical accurate (my opinion)
. Default version is N-3B (or late), it's rather good for us.

Forgive me if I am insistent. But that picture is a P-39 with the gunsight N-2?
And lastly, the new reticle is historically correct, I had not ever seen.
Finally, again thanks for the MOD (for any of the Version)

I don't know, N-2 or N-3A
But P-40B sight it's rather different
I hope what the last version is historically correct

I like your new version MAHA. I wish I knew which of the reticles were used.
I'm really at a loss about what reticles were used with what gunsights. There doesn't seem to be much reference material out there, or at least I haven't found any. The Concise Guide to American Aircraft of World War II says there were 9,558 P-39s built and 4,773 primarily P-39D/-39N/-39Q went to Russia. It doesn't say what gunsights were supplied. Oleg used Russian reticles for his P-39s, and even in the P-400, which I'm not sure ever made it to Russia.
Hopefully someone can help out on this.
Ponco, a new gunsight it would go a long way to helping clean up how ugly the cockpit is. It sure worked wonders for the P-47.
A cockpit makeover would be great but there doesn't seem to be much interest in the P-39. Too bad, it's a great little fighter.

Catahoulak9 I have found some material here:

Some of these Reticles are great.
Look at the reticle for the P 38J , Bf 109E, P400 and the Zero M3/M2.
It would be great to have these ( ive there historical correct ) in the Game
But i think its impossible to create different reticles in one Plane series

No, if they are not as a "series". For example P-39N-1 affects also D-1, D-2 and P-400. But not the Q-1 nad Q-10. Depends how is it coded in game...

Ok, then I request updates to the Bf 109 E
The P38 J
and Zero M2 / M3 like shown on the website-
