any info about 1.65 ata



The prototype BMW801TS (BMW801D2V15) was tested in July 1942. Many of the changes were simply incorporated into the BMW 801D2. There is little to choose between the motors with the exception of the BMW801TS 1.65ata "Start-und-Notleistung" rating. "Start-und-Notleistung" rating is reserved for the engines highest output without an antiknock agent injection. Since the BMW801D2 received the pistons and sleeves of the TS series in 1943, it is pure speculation, it may very well have been cleared for 1.65ata "start-und-notleistung" as well sometime later during the war. The pilots say their boost times went from 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and finally 40 minutes before the war ended. I have not found any documentation though to back this up. Instructions from BMW in Jan 1945 instruct for all 801 series to mount the simplified Alkohol-Einspritzung with 1.8ata set as the limit. In the same order, Focke-Wulf says they must clarify if BMW means the BMW801D2/Q, TS, TH , and TU motors or any combination. There is no difference in power output of the BMW801TS, TH, or TU motors and the 801D2. At 1.65ata all three are 2050PS motors at 1st supercharger gear FTH. Only the FTH changes due to different supercharger gearing.

so....Jager. C3 Einspritzung only used 1.65ata @ 2700U/min.

Loading problems come when air.ini calls for missing file, otherwise all should be fine. No more Lerche om my list!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

My offline 4.09 install could have them replace the originals. The Online (and unused) 4.08 I can leave as-is. :wink:

Did I Understand you right ? You want to create new slot realistic 190 for Il2 ? All 190 ???

That would be great !!!

And in the First series to A4 I believe it was possible to fire the Mgs alone without the cannon !!!


It would be really great if their would be an option do delete Olegs Fws in the Air.ini, include the new, rename them so all campaigns would be used the new !!!

For me as Offliner this would be great !

i mean the A1, A2, A3, not the A4

all books say that the Fw 190 was able to fire their weapons seperate, it was also so simulated in the original Il2 and was changed with the first patch

In my opinion, all AAA released new slot airplanes (not just new Fw190s) should have some kind of common distinguishing tag attached to their designation. With all the planes released and planned for release it could soon be not so easy to distinguish stock planes from AAA ones - look at spits as an example. Plus this way there will be no more problems with designations if tomorrow someone decides to rework another stock plane, say Ki-43 to include a historic loadout of 1 250kg bomb and 1 drop tank (just as an example that pops to mind, we don't really need it). If there will be no such "common tag" policy, I believe designations of re-done stock aircraft could go really messy. Also, if someone adds any mods from other places, AAA ones will be quick to find as they'll stand out and look organised.

That said, I'd still like to stress a big thanks to any and all AAA mods - work done by individuals and offered to all of us absolutely for free! I'm gladly going to take and fly any plane regardless of its designation and/or any mess with designation. It's just a suggestion. Really looking forward to new 190s!

I do a lot of this sort of thing for my work (establish naming conventions)
Some things to consider is sort order. If you want all new planes to show in the same spot on lists you should Prefix them. (i.e. AAA-Fw190-A6) if you want them to sort in the nomenclature you should suffix them (i.e. Fw190-A6-AAA).

Remember that some of the new plane installations pre-AAAui sort the lists alphabetically before they find and remove duplicates. Also remember you may be flying on-line with people that are using the original Oleg nomenclature. Finally some programs (and possible some things in the coding of IL2) do not react to spaces, asterisks, brackets, etc. very well so you may want to stay away from those types)

Me I'm a nomenclature guy. I prefer looking for the Fw190s in the Fw190 areas so I'd vote for suffix. I'd like to see

Panzerblitz I and II would be great aswell, not to mention an F-9 which should be quiet easy taking the A-9 nose section and mating it with the F-8 fuselage, maybe adding the Ta152 tail for good measure Big Grin

and of course a G-3 and 8 to slug the Sc1000 around :roll: :lol:
