If you find any more information about arament of Ki-44, please bring them here so I can update Ki-44 references at viewtopic.php?p=92640#92640. It only annoy modders if poeple just beg while doing nothng. So asking modder while bring references is much better, therefore will be helpful to modders.

Variants

Quote:Ki-44 IIc
(Mark 2c) first version with heavy armament - four 20 mm Ho-3 cannons or two 12.7 mm Ho-103 machine guns and two 40 mm Ho-301 cannon.

Ki-44 IIIb
(Mark 3b) two 20 mm Ho-5 cannons and two 37 mm Ho-203 cannons.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ho-301_cannon

Quote:The Ho-301 was a Japanese 40 millimeter calibre autocannon that saw limited use during World War II, on Japanese Army Nakajima Ki-44 and Kawasaki Ki-45 KAI aircraft. It was unusual in using caseless ammunition. Although the effective range of the cannon was only 150 meters (490 ft), the Ho-301 was light and rapid-firing for its caliber. The caseless design revolved around a specially designed projectile, that was in effect a small rocket.

Up close n personal with a B29... mmm

Sincere good luck with the project yet a Type 1 Fighter is no Type 2 by a long shot....You might find bits and pieces from other aircraft that are similar, naturally armament yet past that it a new ball-o-wax.

The Shoki is my No.1 japanese fighterplane! Its the pendant to the Fw190 (which is my No.1 german fighterplane) - but looks more both neat and brute to me. I love it and I really would like to see it in game.

I have alot of PDF documentations about it. Who needs? Danger?

no thanks caspar, i research these planes thoroughly myself and cross ref with 5 different sites. i have already started work on the ki-44 and hope to have her flying in a month or so. building from scratch with no outside help is very hard but with a lot of persistence i think i have now got a chance.
thanks anyway mate.

- Caspar - 14.10.2008

So you don't convert the Ki-43 but build from scratch completely?

Danger!

That's sensational news!!! Being a bit of JAAF buff myself, I think that this would be one of the best additions to this game that I can think of!!! Oooh, the campaigns you could build with the "Shoki"... Smile

I wish you the best of luck!!!

- danger - 16.10.2008

until further notice, i am pulling out of this project

- GerritJ9 - 16.10.2008
