AFAIK Catalyst A.I. is a pack of ATI-specific game enhancements/fixes. It applies to specific games, but i think some parts of this package apply to all games.

When the slider is left, C.A.I. is set to standard. When it is right, C.A.I. is set to enhanced. With the disable check box ticked, C.A.I. is disabled alltogether.
So only the enhanced options seems to have adverse effects on the game. What this Catalyst A.I. does in special, i don't know. But the enhanced setting has some more tweaks than the Standard one obviously. Either way set it to off or standard.

I appreciate the info, as usual. I am just always afraid I am gonna screw one thing up when I try and fix another. I wasn't real worried about some sort of small graphics issue per se, 'cause when you are 66 yrs old as I am, and your eyes are the same age, a little bit of change one way or other isn't such a big deal. But, I was really aware of those blotches.
