Excellent!

By the way this pack is compatible with DGen campaigns. I really encourage you to try it, for instance by starting a Battle of France campaign in January 1940... It significantly enhances existing campaigns and missions using the stock maps.

For that, I quote the read-me:

"You can use them (new maps) to replace default winter maps : just rename "GW-xxxload.ini" to default ini name", i.e. xxxload.ini.

Note: if you do so this pack may overwrite part of recent Default Map Upgrade mod by vpmedia who also uses common textures for winter default maps, so you may backup whatever winter map load.ini from vpmedia you may find in your maps folders, e.g. "wload.ini".

there is one problem that slovakia textures is not for BIG land russia.Its nor real see this "dense" fields in russia.Oleg

I also tried to have liquid water with camouflage=winter but didn't found how ... Sad

I don't claim to make a perfect work, and my main purpose was to release fast a good result.
When I saw the topic about bump-mapping on landscapes, I was very interested but it would have delayed release for maybe a few weeks...

Anyway, I suppose talented people out there will do something with the texs ?

Thanks for this one. This will add a lot of immersion for me. With 20 winter months of the war these maps will cover a lot of pivotal campaigns. Big Grin

These are very well-looking maps indeed. A great addition.

The Norway map especially looks and feels as it should. For some reason the original Norway map just didn't have the right atmosphere to it, but the winter version in this map-pack hits the spot exactly.

Sorry, I should have made a map-F file in order to make them work well in excellent settings.

I suppose it's ok for most of them but maybe not with Normandy & Norway ...
