Thank you again vonofterdingen!

A really great campaign!

Hi,

I played the first to missions so far. The formation climbs quite fast and I have a hard time to keep up with it.

- StargazerWoods - 22.02.2009

Heh... It's the other way around for me... I keep arriving at the target way ahead of all the others. Good thing is though, I hit the target and am halfway home before the fighters get to altitude. At least I think so, I've yet to get shot up by anyone.

I need to practice my formation flying a bit more methinks.

- McMart - 22.02.2009

Me too.

I did better last time when I did not use flaps for take off and flew faster climbing very slowly after take off.

- vonofterdingen - 22.02.2009

I've got to admit, formation flying is something that I have not mastered at all. The problem with outruning the pack, is that if fighters catch you alone, you don't have much of a chance.

I've finished the campaign today's morning and I'm really impressed!
Wonderful flights, varied and challenging targets, fine atmosphere and a great map. Thanks to all who made this campaign so nice and for hours of plenty fun!

We need more such "heavy" campaigns! Big Grin

Thank you for this campaign. Ever since I've started to play Il-2 several years ago I've never flown heavy bombers, and never bothered to learn level bombing; but now, taken that I really like the looks of B-24, I am eager to learn..

Thanks to all for the kind words and thanks as well for helping me work out the glitches. I am somewhat surprised by the interest in the heavy bomber campaign; I will look into doing another.

- King Franky - 12.03.2009

Oh yeah... that's very good news!
Camel Pond was the first time to fly 4mots to me in excessive use and I liked it greatly.
Lookking gladly forward to your next heavy bomber campaign! Big Grin

I'm glad you guys are having fun with this. Try Cactus Cobras and Kosciusko Squardon too, but they are fighter campaigns. If there is more interest for another heavy bomber campaign I would be happy to do that too. I'm always looking for ideas. I was going to do a B-17 campaign but we just don't have the maps for a historical one yet.

Right now I am doing a non-historical campaign for Avala's Benghalli map, but it will be done soon.

Dude, make some history c.,if posible... I dunn know where B24 flew the most, and B17... but im sure they bombed axis in pacific... B24 or B17,make some
Big Grin ,and one sugestion,in camel pond AI b24s climbed and flew too fast i couldnt reach them,so make they fly slower, thx yo!
