jamesdietz, assuming that you can find the 3DO/Cockpit folder in yor installation, copy the folder named Me-262 w/ the .tgas inside of it to there (inside the Cockpit folder).

- Dietz - 04.03.2009

262-pit is in Mods folder ...all the other subfolders (3DO,Cockpit,Me-262)are in it as well & Me-262 subfolder has the TGAs in it.Seems all correct. It didn't seem to work yesterday ....but maybe today??? Confusedhock:

- Fly! - 04.03.2009

see 1st post above. I forgot the Me-262 folder. OK now.

- Dietz - 04.03.2009

So here's what I have now : Mods/Me-262/262-pit/3DO/Cockpit/Me-262
or :?: should I just drop" 262-pit" out of the sequence?

- BlitzPig_Voidcracker - 04.03.2009

Very nicely done, good work, thanks!

James, it's: MODS/files(or whatever you call it--presets & Samples are in here as is 3DO)/3DO/Cockpit/Me-262

Hi Fly - I'm having a similar issue as James: I don't have as you stated MODS then /Files ... but I assume it is root location/Ubisoft/IL2 Sturmovik 1946/Files/3DO/Cockpit ... I assume I place the ME-262 w/.tgs files there - correct?

- Fly! - 04.03.2009

Guys, I can't tell you how your game is set up. Just take the folder named Me-262 w/ the .tgas inside and put it in yor Cockpit folder (the one w/ all the different cockpits for the planes) wherever that is.
That's it.

Tried all the suggestions here and still cant get it to work.
Can someone with a working copy possibly take a screen shot of the folder set up in there copy ?

- Uther - 05.03.2009

Installed ok but my system didn't like it.Flashing black textures and 1 FPS.Maybe its an ATI problem?

Gone a couple of days & hope this thread isn't quite dead...yet.
Doing Mods on AA is like a Treasure Hunt/Detective story.....for a computer illiterate like me.Downloading mods & having some that self install & others requiring me to hunt down the right floder or ask for clues from those here that seem to know the way.
I have a question- I think this mod is now in the right place as Fly instructed above(though I haven't tried it yet.....)The only other folder I found there was for, I believe cockpit for SpitfireIX. So ok,my question is should I be putting other Cockpit modes here too as a default location ( for instance the new Ju-88 cockpit mod & Ju88 gunner mod?)Every other cockpit mod I've just installed in the MOD folder, and most have appeared to work fine. This is the first time I've installed in the Files/3DO/Cockpit folder.
So should I be tracking down all the cockpit mods & drop the 3DO folders here or is this a specialized folder for something like lighting effects?
( By the way my Files folder is in the main game directory -not in Mods Folder...) 8)

Mod folder blues... - Guest - 07.03.2009

Install (ie copy the 262cockpit folder as downloaded and unpacked) in the Files/3DO/Cockpit folder. Like you, on my install the only other folder there is the cockpit for SpitfireIX.

This worked for me, try it and see if it works for you.
