i've been out of pocket for awhile and just now managed to check here... sorry you're having problems with the campaign. so far, i've not had anybody else mention problems getting the campaign to run. so don't know exactly what could be happening here in your situation.

certainly if the night campaign functioned, the day one should as well as they are mere carbon copies of each other but one is set for night and one for day and some small changes in airplane types.

my suggestion. to try and troubleshoot, completely delete both of the day and night Atolls campaigns. i mean ALL of their folders/files. even the DGEN folders that you copied from DCG's Atoll's DGEN folder over to IL2's DGEN folder. if you've forgotten the name of those folders, just open up the Atolls and or Atolls night campaign folder in DCG and take a look in their DGEN folders to see what the names of the files you copied to IL2 DGEN were. then go in IL2 DGEN and delete them.

once all of that is removed from IL2 DGEN and from your DCG folders... start anew. carefully.

make sure that the Atolls map is properly installed in your game...by going into IL2 and opening up the FMB. if you can see the Atolls map listed, it should be okay.

after that, make sure you have everything else needed. ie, you have the AAA 1.1 installed. you have a current copy of DCG. (3.39 or higher) and of course you have to have IL21946 patched to 4.09. if any of that is incorrect...the mission will not run.

but if all of that is good. then unzip another copy of Atolls DCG Campaign. put the Campaign inside DCG main folder. open the Atoll campaign folder then the DGEN folder inside of there and copy ALL of the contents... exit back to your game folder... paste the files you copied from Atolls DGEN folder into IL2's DGEN folder. VERY IMPORTANT. if those files are not transfered...the game cannot SEE the campaign! so will not work.

once that is done. go to your DCG exe icon and open up DCG interface, show the interface where your THIRD PARTY CAMPAIGN IS and make sure it is set up for thirdparty campaigns. exit the DCG program.

go into your IL2 game and open up your career... for the day time ATolls campaign, inside your US ARMY carrer there should be the ATOLLS US ARMY FIGHTER PILOT career listed and available to choose. choose it and start the campaign and it should run.

getting DCG to run can sometimes be tricky...but it shouldn't be too difficult.

something may have gotten askew in the download or something or even after you downloaded it got corrupted. who knows. but if you do all of the above...it should get you running.

remember... if everything is installed correctly, when you open your careers in IL2, under US ARMY it should show the ATOLL campaign choice. if you don;t see that choice there...it means that those VERY important DGEN files didn't get transferred from the DCG ATOLL DGEN folder to the IL2 DGEN folder!

without those files IL2 simply cannot SEE Atolls.

if you can see the ATOLLS campaign there and select it but it still won't play...okay, that may be another problem. but until YOU CAN SEE THE ATOLLS in the CAREER section...THAT IS THOSE DGEN files missing or gone wrong.

try all of that and get back to me. if you're still having problems...i'll direct you to my gaming site that has a chatbox and we'll hook up one on one and walk thru it all to seee if we can get you going.

from the sound of it so far...it seems like SOMETHING is missing somewhere. but if you do all of the above, it should take care of it.

let me know!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it's going to be a week or so before I can try any of your ideas/suggestions out as my motherboard just died this morning... Sad My new one won't be here until next week and I'm going to RMA this one and give it to my wife once that comes back. I'll let you know once I get things installed again (going to start fresh as I was needing to do this for awhile now) and that will hopefully eliminate any issues that are related to what's going on for me. Thanks again!

happy to help if needed. there shouldn't be any reason you can't get it going. just some little something fragged somewhere, no doubt. starting over will surely get it going.

good luck to you and your mobo.
