Another interesting site is the Peace Museum in Gernika. They put you in a home of then, and, only by sounds, they reconstruct the famous bombardment, in the way you get involved and think you are really being bombed. I saw an italian tourist to get out of the room, visibly crying.


And there is also interesting to visit Vilajuiga, where last Republican planes were anihilated on the ground with some desperately air combat above. The story about that has a lot of controversy, specially related on the Bf-109E-3 6-98 (and maybe the 6-96 too) shot down there, who downed it, and what was the name of the pilot...

The bunker, house of pilots, bridge and other structures still intact. It is amazing to see one of the faces of the bunker, with impacts and camouflage still visible on it:
