Oh, KC Jones - I tried your suggestion, but no 6DOF is enabled with any option, I'm afraid....

Dumb question, did you accidentally put your switcher and batch files etc. in your Mods folder, rather than your 1946 one? I recall someone else doing that and not being able to figure out what their problem is.

Nah, thats not it Bee - they're all in the main game folder.
Regarding the switch files, is it correct that UI 1.1 does NOT have these: EAX_ON,EAX_OFF, MkII_Gyro_ON and MkII_Gyro_OFF?
On all previous versions, these were installed, but no sign of them with UI 1.1.
Is this normal?

I would say that it is not normal. I have 1.1 installed and these .bat files are included, in fact, they are mentioned in the readme for 1.1.

That's what I thought - You're right, they are mentioned in the readme, and I don't see them, so already there's an issue...
I've installed the UI 1.1 4 times this weekend, and not once has it installed those files...there are no errors with the d/l'd files - I had to re-d/l some of them initially, but the install process goes without any hiccups, it just doesn't seem to be installing correctly from the outset....

It's still possible that something happened during your original download to one of the files ... Maybe you should get a new version of UI1.1 and the patch. Try down loading them again.
Its just a suggestion, but its what I would try next.
Good luck

Belated entry: All fixed up, thanks folks!
It was the result of using the wrong 6DOF mouse mod, and it would also seem that those EAX and MkII_Gyro bat files are not needed, at least by the folk who helped me with my install...
So, I'm happy, but it might be a good idea if we could get some official clarity on the subject of the files which do not appear in the install, but are specifically mentioned in the readme??
