many thanks for your kind words directed in my hurricanes general direction, and for those who wish to please feel free to spread the images wherever you see fit but i would request that i am credited, i dont want people taking credit for me bird!

dannyMNL i have put as much detail on as i can, half the fueslage is covered in aluminium plates, as are details on the wings, the cannons are ali tubes, well 3 different ali tubes all stuck together. if you want to see more pics then go here http://s236.photobucket.com/albums/ff30 ... @md_wild_weasel

what type of paint did you use?

most paints aren't compatible with model airplane fuels... it's always best to use a 2-component paint.

if you didn't use it I highly recommend clearcoating it with a 2-component paint, otherwise your finish will get eaten away by residue from the exhaust! I have had a nasty experience with this on the painted cowl of an AT6-texan....

nice model by the way!

@danny,thanks for you kind words m8 ,the aircraft skin was a special fabric fuel prrof heat shrink material then i used normal humbrol enamel, then applied a matt varnish, as this was the first R/C plane that i built i asked at the model shop and they assured me enamel paints are fine. I think also i used a fuel retardant paint somewhere or other...Anyway i dont think it will survive long enough for the paint to strip off Smile hahahah

- Carosel43 - 05.06.2009

i used humbrol enamels on mine, took 9 of those little tins to do the whole model. sadly these paints are not fuel proof so i used ronseal matt polyurethane wood varnish from the diy store to fuelproof it, it takes about a million years to dry but works well and gives a nice matt finish
