GREAT MAP :!: I installed it without problems (had to manually add the lines in the all file in MODS/mapmods/maps folder). Stunning detail plus QMB plus missions! I am truly grateful as this is my island of origin (actually, my father witnessed as a 10-yr old the German invasion in Crete, near the Maleme airfield)
Congratulations again,

First class map with meticulously made textures ... and if this is only a second map after the Mamam exercise map, then you certainly show a flair for map-making and a natural talent ... I bet that subsequent maps will be even more stunning ...

Really great map and a necessary addition for early WWII enthusiasts.

 Hello, first I want to say that map is really beauty, with interesting and lifelike textures; but I have problem - could not save missions I made in FMB ( I put QMB pack in my single missions folder and tried map this way but still haven't found solution for FMB saving ). Can somebody give me advice.I made manual install as allways and this is one of the rare maps where I failed. Few days ago I installed Dakar map in same way and it works !

Thanks in advance - Doctor

If you can load a map, but not save missions on it, it is because the map is using an object you do not have installed. This map needs the UI 1.1.1 patch to work properly. It uses LAL Rone objects and Canon's blank field plates. I tested this to load and save on a vanilla UI 1.1.1 installation and that is what I used to prepare the QMB+ missions. I hope this helps you isolate your problem. By all means let me know if you need more help. -viking

THANK TOU VERY MUCH!!!

Thank you Viking for another beautiful and unique map. The vineyard-like patterns really add a new feel to things. The missions are a lot of fun too--the massive parachute drop is a lot of fun just to watch. Thank you and I look forward to your future work!

Ok ...with out maps like yours & the other new modded maps like Korea , Aleutians , Grand Canyon ,I would have never dared to go in & try FMB with out the help of some patient 12 year old in the neighborhood to slowly explain everything to me...now I'm trying to really read & understand the instructions in the Il-2 Forgotten Battles instruction book ( that has been unopened for many years!)
So I have a reverse engineering question: I did as you suggested & opened one of your loaded missions for this map.Luckily it was relatively simple -2 flighta of planes meeting head on over the island.I changed each plane individually to either Messerschmitts or Hurricanes..ditto markings & weapon loads. So my first question is ther away to do this for all four planes ( 1 flight) at once, instead of individually/It would save time.
I was ( for me) bold enough to add a flight of Stukas ( easy enough) since it was a strike mission on the Harbor( it had a bomb on the map)...all went well until my Stukas reached the harbor where they passed over the ship( while being blasted out othe sky) & those few that were left randomly bombed the harbor area ( hard to tell with all the flaming wrecks around.) My second question is this could I have made the ships the targets ?If so how?
I realize this is wildly OT but you guys got me into this & i hope for some simple answers.
BTW Ido hope someone uses your map to do the ultimate series of Crete Missionsas good as the Operastion Mercur mission pack some German guys did earlier this year.It was ( is) quite good using another Crete map to the fullest extent possible.
Again Thsnks!!!

Of course anybody can use the textures as they wish. I'd be pleased if they did. -viking
